BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with a visiting delegation of executive directors for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Beijing on Thursday.

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, noted that the ADB, as an important multilateral development institution in the Asia-Pacific region, has made positive contributions to supporting China's development.

China hopes the ADB will continue to be an active participant in the country's modernization process, Ding said, adding that China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the ADB and expand cooperation areas, in order to better promote China's high-quality development and benefit the entire Asia-Pacific region.

Since the beginning of this year, China's economy has made progress while ensuring stability and demonstrated strong vitality and resilience, Ding said, stressing that China will fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, consolidate and build on the momentum of economic recovery, and inject more certainty into global development.

The ADB executive directors spoke highly of China's development achievements and expressed willingness to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of cooperation between the two sides next year as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and support China's high-quality development.
