As Mongolia's Hunnu Air Flight MR845 landed at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport at 13:30 on April 4, the Zhangjiajie-Ulaanbaatar international passenger air route officially resumed, operating on a regular basis.
The Zhangjiajie Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection Station has fulfilled safeguard and support procedures for this flight with its quality, professional, and efficient customs services, ensuring the successful resumption of the air route.
Previously, from July to September 2024, Zhangjiajie airport handled 24 passenger flight trips between Zhangjiajie and Ulaanbaatar. Nearly 2,000 inbound and outbound travelers took the flights, 98.2% of them foreigners.
Currently, the airport has resumed international passenger flights to and from Ulaanbaatar, operated by Hunnu Air. According to the flight schedule, the Zhangjiajie- Ulaanbaatar flight operates once on every Friday. Specifically, it departs from Ulaanbaatar at 10:10 and arrives in Zhangjiajie at 13:30; the return flight sets off from Zhangjiajie at 14:30 and lands in Ulaanbaatar at 18:00.
The resumption of this air route is of great significance for both Zhangjiajie and Ulaanbaatar. These flights will further facilitate exchanges and cooperation between the two places in tourism, culture, economy and trade.
