摘要:The 2025 CIFTIS Environmental Services section will be held in Hall 7 of the Shougang Park, covering an exhibition space of 6,600
The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Environmental Services section is a premier platform showcasing China's ecological progress and connecting global green resources. What highlights can visitors expect from this section? A press briefing held on the morning of August 15 revealed three features of this section.
01
Bringing Together Industry Leaders
Creating Distinctive Exhibition Areas
The 2025 CIFTIS Environmental Services section will be held in Hall 7 of the Shougang Park, covering an exhibition space of 6,600 square meters under the core theme of "Green Productivity Empowering Our Planet." To date, more than 50 companies—including 16 Fortune Global 500 firms and industry leaders—have confirmed onsite participation, forming an exhibition pattern in which leading enterprises serve as chain leaders, collaborating with upstream and downstream partners across the vertical industry chain. This section will spotlight cutting-edge advances in three key fields:renewable and low-carbon energy services; environmental and ecological services and circular economy; and digital technologies and services supporting green and low-carbon development.
A major highlight will be theUrban Operations Support Industry Cluster, established under the leadership of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management. Building on Beijing's experience in megacity governance, the cluster will focus on refined urban management, smart city upgrades, and forward-thinking approaches to sustainable development.
Centered onurban lighting, smart pipeline networks, clean energy, and eco-sanitation, the cluster will feature digital and intelligent solutions in energy-efficient lighting, safety monitoring and maintenance innovation of underground pipelines, efficient energy use, as well as urban cleaning and waste treatment. These four sectors will work in synergy—showcasing tangible results and promoting visionary strategies—to demonstrate Beijing's commitment to urban governance and development.
A dedicated water technology cluster, led by the Beijing Water Authority and implemented by the Beijing Water engineering Association, will present a comprehensive water service chain covering four areas: waterfront space solutions, digital and intelligent water management, healthy water industry, and water resources and hydropower engineering construction. It will emphasize innovations in smart water management, including an integrated air-space-ground-water-engineering sensing system, along with advanced, AI-powered technologies and solutions for water management, water supply and drainage, and water resources and hydropower engineering.
Companies including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, Beijing Energy, Chaoyang Environment, BEUR, and BCIGC will continue to provide steadfast support and actively participate in the CIFTIS. They will focus on key vertical sectors and present cutting-edge technologies and the latest advances in green energy, circular economy, new materials, and other segments, offering a panoramic view of the innovation and vitality driving China's environmental services industry.

Elevating Conference and Forum Standard
Building a Hub of Wisdom Through Collaboration
This year, the Environmental Services section has partnered with influential international organizations to curatenine conferences and forums. These include three thematic forums: the Academician Forum on Ecological and Environmental Protection Industry Serving the "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" Strategy, the Forum on Meteorology and Economy, and the Global Development Forum on Green Economy, as well as special forums such as the 2025 Beijing International Forum for Metropolitan Clean Air and Climate Actions and the2025 Beijing Water Technology Innovation Conference.
The forums will bring together international dignitaries, government representatives, academicians, experts, industry think tank scholars, as well as delegates from government, research, and business in key regions like the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Core agenda items will include keynote addresses by academicians, policy announcements, expert panel discussions, presentations on industry research findings, and launches of innovative technologies. These sessions will facilitate the sharing of the latest technological breakthroughs and pilot applications across all environmental service fields, helping chart the course for the industry's high-quality development. They will also highlight the CIFTIS' role as a high-level platform for display and dialogue—a pivotal hub enabling deeper government-industry-academia-research integration, international exchange, and industrial capacity cooperation.
03
Promoting "Beijing Services" Cases
Introducing a Much-Anticipated Green Innovation Model
As a center for international exchanges and technological innovation, Beijing has developed advanced development models that can be replicated and promoted across various industries. Leveraging the city's strengths in policy innovation, sci-tech R&D, and international cooperation, this year's CIFTIS will introduce the exemplary "Beijing Services" initiative.
The Environmental Services section will spotlight innovative technologies and advanced solutions, and integrate the sci-tech innovation resources of Beijing and enterprises based in Beijing to establish a green innovation system underpinned by trade in services, driven by core technologies, and focused on commercialization of achievements. It will highlightnearly 30 representative achievements and practical application scenarios, including smart water conservancy systems, AI-driven solid waste incineration systems, and hazardous chemical transportation management services. Together, these will form a comprehensive "Beijing Services" display cluster covering ecological conservation, pollution control, and low-carbon transition.
Furthermore, by hosting business matchmaking sessions and achievement release events, this section will create a platform to promote "Beijing Services" beyond Beijing. This effort is designed to align closely with national strategies such as the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. The ultimate objectives are to establish "Beijing Services" as a new driver for urban economic growth and to offer a replicable model for the environmental services sector in China and globally.
