On March 24th, Guangdong outlined its key transport infrastructure plans for 2025-2027, pledging 600 billion yuan for road and waterway projects and 900 billion yuan for comprehensive transport systems, including railways and airports. Major projects include the Zhanhai (Zhanjiang-Haikou) High-Speed Rail, the Humen Pearl River Bridge upgrading and expansion, and the Shenzhu (Shenzhen-Zhuhai) Sea-crossing Bridge.
Guangdong has outlined seven key tasks for achieving high-quality transport development, including the establishment of integrated cross-border and inter-provincial transport corridors, the development of an efficient urban transportation network, and the promotion of urban-rural transport integration. Notably, the province plans to accelerate railway and expressway construction over the next three years, with accelerated construction on Guangzhou-Zhanjiang and Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway, plus new starts on Zhanjiang-Haikou and Guangzhou-Qingyuan-Yongzhou High-speed Railway projects.
Port of Guangzhou and Port of Shenzhen will become global hubs while Shantou and Zhanjiang ports will serve as regional gateways, with upgraded capacity for bulk cargo like coal and oil. In addition, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport will expand to form a world-class airport cluster.
Regarding urban cluster transportation, Guangdong is accelerating the development of the "Greater Bay Area on Track," promoting intercity railway projects in the Guangzhou and Shenzhen metropolitan areas, with the goal of establishing a core intercity railway network for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Additionally, high-speed rail connectivity in eastern, western, and northern Guangdong, along with the expansion of trunk highways, will be further improved to enhance integration between the GBA and these regions.
Over the next three years, Guangdong will promote the adoption of new energy vehicles and autonomous driving technology, aiming to achieve 100% electrification of public transport. The province will also explore drone and low-altitude transportation services. Additionally, efforts will be made to develop highway service areas that integrate transportation, agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce, showcasing local culture and specialty products.

3月24日，广东省重点部署未来三年的交通建设任务，明确提出，2025至2027年，全省公路水路计划完成投资约6000亿元，综合交通（包括铁路、机场）投资预计达9000亿元。重点项目包括湛海高铁、虎门大桥改扩建和深珠通道（伶仃洋通道）等。
广东省未来交通运输高质量发展的“七大主要工作任务”，其中包括构建跨境跨省综合运输通道，建设高效的城市交通网，推进城乡交通一体化等。特别是，未来三年将大力提升广东的铁路和高速公路建设。铁路方面，将加快广湛、汕汕等在建项目建设，推动湛海高铁、广清永高铁等项目开工。
广州、深圳港将打造国际枢纽港，汕头、湛江港将发展为粤东和粤西的枢纽港，提升港口装卸能力，并增加煤炭、油气等货物的运输能力。此外，广州白云机场、深圳宝安机场等项目也将加快建设，以期打造世界级机场群。
在城市群交通网方面，广东省加快建设“轨道上的大湾区”，推动广州、深圳都市圈的城际铁路建设，力争基本建成粤港澳大湾区城际铁路骨干网。此外，粤东、粤西、粤北的高铁衔接和干线公路网建设将进一步完善，推动大湾区与这些地区的互联互通。
未来三年广东将推动新能源汽车和自动驾驶技术的应用，提升公交电动化率至100%，并探索无人机和低空交通服务。重点打造“交农文旅商”融合发展的高速公路特色服务区，展示本地文化和特色产品。
