摘要:Well, believe it or not, that depends on you.

What is the IELTS speaking test really like?

雅思口语考试究竟是什么样的?

Nerve-wracking?

是令人紧张?

Exciting?

是令人激动?

Challenging?

是充满挑战?

Fun?

还是充满乐趣?

Well, believe it or not, that depends on you.

信不信由你,这完全取决于你自己。

Let's find out.

我们来了解一下。

Hello, it's Keith from the Keith Speaking Academy and the YouTube channel English Speaking Success, here to help you become a more confident speaker of English.

大家好,我是基斯,我来自基斯 Speaking Academy 和 YouTube English Speaking Success 频道,在这里帮助大家更自信地讲英语。

Now, I'm guessing if you're watching this video, you're probably thinking maybe about taking the IELTS test, International English Language Testing System.

我猜,如果你正在看这个视频,很可能是在考虑参加雅思考试,也就是国际英语语言测试系统。

So this is a test of your English ability, for people who may want to work abroad, study abroad, or live abroad, usually in an English-speaking environment, and you need to show your level of English to do that.

这是一项英语能力测试,主要面向那些希望到英语国家工作、学习或生活的人,而你需要通过这项考试来证明自己的英语水平。

I'm also guessing probably that speaking is not your forte, not your strength.

我还猜,口语可能不是你的强项。

Maybe you lack a bit of confidence in your English speaking skills.

或许你对自己的英语口语能力有点信心不足。

It may be the case for some students, you know, when they take the test, they've never spoken to a native English speaker, or they, they're a bit nervous about the etiquette, their behavior, what they should say or not say.

有些考生的情况可能是这样:参加考试前,他们从未和英语母语者交谈过,所以会对考场礼仪、个人举止感到紧张,不知道哪些话该说,哪些不该说。

Will they make a cultural mistake?

他们会担心自己犯文化方面的错误吗?

There's lots of things.

总之,会担心很多事情。

But relax, I'm here to help you.

但请放轻松,我就是来帮你的。

I'm gonna go through the IELTS speaking test.

我会带你全面梳理一下雅思口语考试。

I'll explain the format, the different parts, how long it takes, what to expect, what the examiner is looking for, and also some tips at the end of the video on how you can best handle the experience.

我会详细讲解考试形式、各个部分、考试时长、注意事项以及考官的评分重点,视频最后还会分享一些实用技巧,教你如何轻松应对这场考试。

I said at the start of the video, your experience depends on you.

我在视频开头就说过,你的考试体验取决于你自己。

And to an extent, that is true.

在某种程度上,确实如此。

Whether you're gonna experience the test as challenging and difficult or fun and exciting does depend on your mindset, and that's an important part I'm gonna talk about a bit later in this video.

你觉得这场考试是困难重重、挑战不断,还是轻松有趣、激动人心,的确取决于你的心态,心态是至关重要的一环,我稍后会在视频里详细讲。

For now, let's dig in and talk about the general format of the IELTS speaking test.

现在,我们先来深入了解一下雅思口语考试的总体形式。

Okay, IELTS speaking.

好的,我们来谈谈雅思口语。

Just to be clear, in IELTS there are two modules.

首先要说明的是,雅思考试分为两大模块。

There's an academic module and a general English module.

一个是学术类,另一个是普通类。

Academic is more for people going to university.

学术类主要面向准备上大学的人。

The general, for people living and working in a, a foreign country.

而普通类则主要面向计划在国外生活和工作的人。

The speaking test is the same for both.

不过,这两类考试的口语部分是完全一样的。

So the IELTS speaking test, and this is really important, is a test of your natural, spoken, conversational English.

雅思口语考试的核心,这一点至关重要,是测试你自然、口语化的日常英语表达能力。

It's not about formal academic English.

它考的不是正式的学术英语。

It's conversational English.

而是日常会话英语。

So it's just the natural way we speak.

也就是我们日常说话的自然方式。

That's the first thing to get clear, right?

这是我们首先要明确的一点,对吧?

So when you're preparing for IELTS speaking, you don't wanna be just focusing on formal speaking of presentations and speeches.

因此,大家在备考雅思口语时,不应该只关注正式的演讲或发言。

You wanna be focusing on speaking naturally, natural everyday conversations, the way people speak in their families, at home, and on the street.

而应该把重点放在自然的日常交流上,就像人们在家里或街上聊天那样。

That's what you need.

这才是你真正需要掌握的。

Okay?

明白了吗?

Let's look first at the, the format of the test.

我们先来看看考试的形式。

Basically, there are three parts.

考试基本上分为三个部分。

In part one, there are gonna be questions about you and your personal life and experience.

第一部分,考官会问一些关于你个人生活和经历的问题。

In part two, you have what's called a long turn.

第二部分是所谓的“个人陈述”环节。

So you're given a topic, and you have to speak about it for one to two minutes.

你会拿到一个话题,要求你进行 1-2 分钟的陈述。

Part three is a deeper conversation on the same topic as part two, but going a lot deeper, more abstract, more in-depth analysis, evaluation, speculation, justification of ideas.

第三部分会延续第二部分的话题,但讨论会更加深入和抽象,需要你进行更深度的分析、评估、推测,并论证自己的观点。

It's a deeper conversation.

这是一场更深层次的对话。

Okay?

清楚了吗?

Now, the test overall is, it's a, it's not really a conversation.

整体来看,这场考试其实算不上是真正的对话。

Okay?

明白吗?

It's kind of a conversation, but you cannot ask questions to the examiner.

它类似对话,但你不能向考官提问。

So it's really a question-answer conversation.

所以,这其实是一场一问一答式的对话。

They ask.

考官提问,

You answer.

你来回答。

But it is natural, informal English, right?

但整个过程使用的都是自然的、非正式的英语,对吧?

And you need flexibility, and you need to develop your answers.

你需要灵活应变,并充分展开回答。

What's key is you have to show the language that you have.

关键在于,你必须展示出自己的语言能力。

You can't expect the examiner to guess that, oh, actually, you're probably very good.

你不能指望考官去猜,“这个考生的水平其实很不错”。

No.

那是不可能的。

He can only or she can only evaluate the language that you speak.

考官只会根据你口头表达的语言水平进行评估。

So quick tip: speak as much as you can.

所以,这里有个小窍门:尽可能多说。

They will cut you off and interrupt you if you're speaking too much, and that happens.

如果你说得太多,考官会打断你,这种情况是存在的。

Okay?

明白吗?

So don't worry about that.

所以不用担心。

So let me just talk you through what happens from the start to the end.

下面,我带大家完整地走一遍考试流程。

You will probably be taken into a large hall with other candidates.

你可能会先被带到大厅,和其他考生一起候考。

You'll be asked to wait, and then you get taken to the room where the examiner will be.

你需要先等候,然后会被带到考官所在的房间。

It's a little different in each country.

每个国家的情况可能略有不同。

But in effect, the examiner will come, greet you at the door, invite you into a closed room.

但流程基本是,考官会过来在门口迎接你,然后请你进入一个单独的房间。

Just say hello.

就是打个招呼。

Shake hands, not necessarily.

不一定会握手。

A little smile probably helps, but that's it.

微笑一下可能会有帮助,但也仅此而已。

Just very, very simple.

总之非常简单。

Hello. Hi. Nice to see you.

你好。你好。很高兴见到你。

He'll, he or she will ask you to sit down.

考官会请你坐下。

Make sure you sit down in the right chair.

一定要坐对椅子。

I've had candidates sit in my chair before.

我以前就遇到过坐到我椅子上的考生。

No.

可别。

Make sure you're, you're in the right chair.

确保你坐对了位置。

They will show you.

他们会指给你看的。

And then they're gonna just ... it's, it's an introduction, which is just a couple of questions for them to check you are who you are, so they'll probably check your ID, ask for your name.

接下来是一个身份核对环节,考官会问几个问题来确认你的身份,比如检查你的证件、询问你的姓名。

And then there's a very brief introduction around, they'll ask you either around about your work, your studies, your hometown, or your home!

之后会有一个简短的开场白,考官会问一些关于你的工作、学习、家乡或住所的问题。

And these questions are just to warm up.

这些问题只是用来热身的。

It's a chance for them to get used to your voice and for you to get used to their voice.

这是一个让双方互相熟悉声音的机会。

Right?

对吧?

It is really a warm-up.

这真的就是一个热身环节。

So don't worry about your answer too much.

所以不必太担心你的回答。

Just take it as a chance to warm up.

把它当成一个热身的机会就好。

Talk about what you do, where you live, depending on what they ask you.

考官问什么你就答什么,聊聊你的工作、住处之类的话题。

Then comes part one, the questions about you.

接着就进入第一部分,围绕你的个人情况提问。

There'll be two topics, normally, with two, three, maybe four questions.

通常会有两个话题,每个话题大概有两到三个,也可能是四个问题。

The idea, part one lasts four to five minutes, the idea is just to ask you some fairly quickfire questions about you, and you give answers, fairly short, two to three sentences, and it's about you.

第一部分时长四到五分钟,主要是快问快答环节,话题都与你个人相关,你需要给出简短的回答,两三句话即可。

The kind of thing like, do you like this?

大概就是“你喜欢这个吗?”这类问题。

Have you done this?

或者“你做过这个吗?”

Did you do this as a child?

“你小时候做过这个吗?”

Would you like to do this?

“你想做这个吗?”

Your experience, okay?

都是问你的个人经历,明白吗?

So don't give one-word answers.

所以,不要只用一个词来回答。

Give short answers, but, you know, several sentences just to develop the answer a little bit.

回答要简短,但最好是用几句话稍微展开一下。

Remember, you want to show the examiner the language that you have.

记住,你要向考官展示你的语言能力。

The examiner doesn't care if it's true or false, if it's made up or real, if it's something that is something they agree with or disagree with, it doesn't matter.

考官根本不关心你的回答是真是假,是真实经历还是编的,也无所谓他们是否认同你的观点,这些都不重要。

They only focus on your language.

他们只关注你的语言表达。

And I'm gonna speak about what the examiner evaluates in a few moments.

稍后我会讲讲考官会从哪些方面对你进行评估。

Also, the examiner will probably be recording the test, so they'll have a little voice recorder.

另外,考官很可能会给考试录音,所以会带一个小型录音器。

At the start, they'll turn it on, and then during the test they may make one or two notes.

考试开始时,他们会打开录音设备,考试期间可能还会做些笔记。

Ignore it.

别在意这些。

It's got nothing to do with you at all.

这跟你一点关系都没有。

At the end of part one, they'll give you, a topic card, sometimes called a cue card, with a question.

第一部分结束后,他们会给你一张话题卡,也叫提示卡,上面有一个问题。

Normally, describe something.

通常是让你描述某个事物。

Normally, it's about a place or a time something happened, or a thing, or an activity, or an event, normally within those categories, and then there are normally three bullet points.

话题通常关于某个地点、某事发生的时间、某个物品、某项活动或某个事件,基本都属于这几类,卡片上一般还会有三个提示要点。

You talk about the who, the when, the where, the what, the how, the why, and inevitably describe how you feel about it.

你需要围绕“谁、何时、何地、何事、如何、为何”这些要点展开,并且几乎总会要求你描述自己的感受。

It gives you a great structure that you can follow.

这为你提供了一个很好的框架,你可以照着这个框架来组织回答。

You don't have to follow each bullet point, okay?

你不必严格按照每个提示要点来讲,明白吗?

You don't have to.

不是强制的。

But it's a great guide to help you.

但这些要点可以给你很好的指引。

You get one minute to prepare.

你有一分钟的准备时间。

You'll have a piece of paper and a pencil.

会给你一张纸和一支笔。

You can write a few notes.

你可以做些笔记。

That one minute flies past, so make the most of that one minute.

那一分钟过得飞快,所以一定要充分利用好。

Think about what you're gonna say.

想想你要说什么。

Think about some key ideas, and then get ready to go.

理清一些关键思路,然后准备开始讲。

You then speak for one to two minutes, minimum one minute ideally.

随后进行 1-2 分钟的陈述,理想状态下至少 1 分钟。

After two minutes, they will stop you.

2 分钟后考官会终止发言。

They may ask a follow-up question, but it depends on the examiner.

他们可能会追问一个问题,但这取决于考官。

In part two, this again it's, it's normally about your personal experience, right?

第二部分通常围绕个人经历展开,对吧?

Something that happened to you, something you have, someone you know or someone you like maybe.

比如发生在你身上的事、你拥有的东西、你认识或喜欢的人等等。

There's all different kinds of questions, but it's about you.

问题类型五花八门,但都离不开你自己。

And you really need to train to speak for a long time.

你必须训练长时间表达能力。

And this is the hard bit.

而这正是难点所在。

It's often difficult to speak for more than a minute.

持续发言超过 1 分钟往往很困难。

You wanna practice speaking for two minutes, and practice this at home.

建议在家练习 2 分钟的连续表达。

My advice is practice speaking for 20 seconds, then double it to 40, then double that to 60, and slowly practice speaking on the same question longer and longer and longer, always looking how to develop your answer, right?

我的建议是:先练习说 20 秒,然后循序渐进,延长到 40 秒、60 秒,然后就同一个问题不断练习,把回答说得越来越长,并始终思考如何拓展内容,明白吗?

Use the bullet points.

利用好那些提示要点。

Give examples.

提供具体实例。

Talk about why.

阐述原因依据。

That's the key question that can always help you develop your answer.

“为什么”这个问题很关键,总能帮你把回答引向深入。

If you can, try and use a wide range of tenses in part two, which will show off some of your grammatical knowledge.

如果可以,请尽量在第二部分使用多种时态,这能展现出你的语法知识。

Then into part three, again, it's four to five minutes.

然后进入第三部分,时长同样是四到五分钟。

The examiner's gonna take back the card and then gonna ask you questions, maybe four or five questions, on the same topic but going into subtopics, going deeper.

考官会收回卡片,然后就同一主题向你提问,大概四五个问题,但会涉及一些子话题,问得更深入。

So, for example, if the topic was about something you bought in a shop in part two, part three might be about online shopping, or the safety of online shopping, or shopping for clothes, or men and women's attitudes to shopping.

举个例子,如果第二部分的话题是你在商店买的东西,那第三部分就可能会聊到网购、网购的安全性、买衣服,或者是男女对购物的不同态度。

They'll choose some theme and then go deeper.

考官会选定一个主题,然后深入提问。

And then the idea here is you give longer answers.

在这个部分,你就需要给出更长的回答。

You develop your answers, right?

你要把回答展开来讲,明白吗?

Give your opinion.

你要给出自己的观点。

Give reasons why, justify, speculate, think about, give, talk about, you know, give examples that helps you develop your answer.

给出理由、证明观点、进行推测、深入思考,可以多谈谈,多举些例子,这些都有助于你充实回答。

Your answers need to be longer.

你的回答一定要更长。

I would just say keep talking till the examiner interrupts you if you can in part three.

我想说的是,在第三部分,如果可以,你就一直说,直到考官打断你为止。

And then at the end, that's it.

然后,考试就结束了。

At the end, uh, the examiner will say, "Thank you very much. That's the end of the test. " You will leave the room, and within a few seconds the examiner will have got your level and they will make a note of your level then and there.

最后,考官会说:“非常感谢,考试结束。”你离开房间后,考官会在几秒钟内评定出你的等级,并当场记录下来。

But they will not tell you.

但他们不会告诉你成绩。

And don't bother looking on the paper.

也别费心盯着考官的纸张。

There's no clues there.

上面什么线索都没有。

This is not Agatha Christie.

这又不是在看阿加莎·克里斯蒂的侦探小说。

Just say, "Thank you very much, " smile, and leave the room.

你只要说声“非常感谢”,微笑着离开房间就行了。

And that is the IELTS speaking test.

以上就是雅思口语考试的全部流程。

Let's talk about what the examiner is thinking during the test and how they evaluate you.

接下来我们聊聊考试时考官在想什么,以及他们是如何给你评分的。

So throughout the test, the examiner has a piece of paper called the band descriptors, and it's the criteria they follow for each band in the IELTS, where you go some ... band one, very low level, to band nine, like native speaker level.

在整个考试过程中,考官手里都有一份“评分标准描述”,这是他们为雅思每个分数段制定的评分依据,评分范围从一级(水平很低)到九级(接近母语者水平)。

And they're gonna analyze your fluency, 25%, your vocabulary lexical resource, 25%, your use of grammar, 25%, and your pronunciation, 25%.

他们会从四个方面来评估你:流利度占 25%,词汇量占 25%,语法运用占 25%,还有发音占 25%。

And as you're speaking, they'll be checking the criteria and analyzing you.

当你发言时,他们会对照标准进行评估。

So, with fluency, they're looking at how easily and effortlessly you can talk and make longer sentences.

流利度方面,考官关注你表达的自然程度和长句构建能力。

They're thinking about your hesitation.

他们会留意你的停顿。

Is there a lot of hesitation or none at all?

你是停顿很多,还是几乎没有?

Is the hesitation looking for the right grammar and the right vocabulary, or is it just trying to get an idea?

这种停顿是为了寻找合适的语法和词汇,还是单纯为了构思观点?

They're looking at your coherence.

他们还会考察你的连贯性。

Do you connect your ideas?

你的观点之间有关联吗?

Do you develop your topics?

你能把话题展开说吗?

When it comes to vocabulary, they're looking at the range.

在词汇方面,他们会看词汇的广度。

Are you using a wide range of vocabulary?

你使用的词汇丰富吗?

And also, do you have a good grasp of collocation, of nuance of style?

此外,你对词语搭配、细微差别以及语言风格的把握到位吗?

Are you using common vocabulary or less common?

你用的是常用词,还是不那么常见的词?

Can you use idiomatic expressions also?

你还会用一些地道的习语吗?

And all of this, it's not only the width.

所有这些,不仅仅是广度的问题。

Nice word, the width.

广度,这个词不错。

It's also the accuracy.

还要看准确度。

Are you making mistakes or not?

你的用词会不会出错?

When it comes to vocabulary, there's a common misunderstanding that you need complicated vocabulary.

谈到词汇,大家普遍存在一个误区,认为一定要用复杂的词汇。

That is not true.

事实并非如此。

What you need is the right word to express your idea.

你需要的是用最恰当的词来表达你的想法。

So sometimes the right word is gonna be a very simple word, right?

所以有时候,最恰当的词可能就是一个很简单的词,对吧?

Happy.

比如“happy”(高兴)。

I was happy because you were happy.

我很高兴,因为你很高兴。

But if you wanna express a time when you were very, very happy, you may say, "Over the moon. I was over the moon. I was thrilled to bits. " Because you want to express in a colorful way, you were very, very happy.

但如果你想表达自己非常非常高兴,你就可以说:“Over the moon”,意思是我欣喜若狂,或者“I was thrilled to bits”,意思是我高兴坏了。因为你想用更生动的方式来表达极致的喜悦之情。

So it's not about the complicated words or these banned nine words people talk about, it's the right word to express what you want to say.

所以,重点不在于词汇有多复杂,也不是人们常说的那些禁用词,关键在于用词要精准,能恰如其分地表达你的意思。

Likewise with the grammar.

语法也是同理。

They're looking at the range and the accuracy.

考官考察的是你语法的多样性和准确性。

They're looking for a mix of complex grammar and simple grammar.

他们希望看到你能将复杂语法和简单语法结合起来使用。

Finally, pronunciation.

最后,我们来说说发音。

They're listening here for pronunciation.

在这一项,考官主要考察的就是你的发音。

Are you using all of the English pronunciation features in the right way to convey your meaning?

你是否能正确运用英语的各项发音特点来表情达意?

Pronunciation features, what are they?

发音特点具体指什么呢?

The pronunciation of a word or a sound we call a phoneme, like A, E, I, N, P, B, the phonemes.

比如单词的发音,或某个单独的音,我们称之为“音素”,像 A、E、I、N、P、B 这些就是音素。

Pronunciation of words.

单词的读音。

Word stress.

单词重音。

Is it produce or produce?

重音是放在中间还是前面?

Where do you stress the word?

这个词的重音该放在哪里?

Sentence stress, right?

还有句子重音,对吧?

Which word do you stress in a sentence and how does that affect the meaning?

句子中哪个词被强调,这如何影响语义?

Connected speech.

连读。

Put off, put off.

比如 put off,连起来读就是 put-off。

Do you connect the speech?

你会使用连读吗?

And by the way, with connected speech, you don't always need to connect, but you have to show that you can connect sometimes.

对了,关于连读,你不需要处处都连读,但要让考官知道你有这个能力。

And in addition to that, intonation.

除此之外,还有语调。

Are you using natural English intonation, rhythm, and pace as you speak?

你说话时的语调、节奏和语速听起来自然地道吗?

All of these are the pronunciation features.

这些都属于发音的考察范畴。

It's not about accent.

重点不在于口音。

You can have a local accent so long as it has very or no effect on understanding, then that's fine.

你可以有地方口音,只要不影响他人理解就没问题。

So you don't need to sound like a British person or an American person.

所以,你不需要听起来非得像英国人或美国人。

You can have your local accent, but just be clear.

你可以保留自己的地方口音,但吐字一定要清晰。

Make sure you're enunciating and pronouncing correctly with all of those pronunciation features I just mentioned.

只要确保你运用我刚才提到的所有发音特点,把每个音发准、说清楚就行。

On top of all of that, the examiner is always thinking about, are they a good communicator, right?

最重要的是,考官其实一直在观察:他善于沟通吗?对吧?

They don't evaluate communication.

沟通能力本身并不在评分标准之内。

But it helps.

但它确实有帮助。

It certainly does help.

绝对有帮助。

If you can communicate confidently, speak clearly, have some eye contact, it just helps communication and it makes a difference, right?

如果你能自信地沟通,表达清晰,并保持一些眼神交流,这会让整个交流更顺畅,效果也会大不一样,对吧?

Imagine, you know the models walking down the catwalk.

想象一下模特在 T 台上走秀的样子。

So when Gucci or Armani are selling their new clothes, they have a beautiful model who walks down the catwalk.

比如古驰或阿玛尼在发布新款服装时,会请漂亮的模特在 T 台上展示。

Not like that, better than that.

当然了,比我走得好多了。

But that model, because they're attractive and they're walking in a certain way, it makes it easier to sell the suit and the clothes.

因为模特富有魅力,台步专业,就更容易把时装卖出去。

It's a similar thing.

这和口语考试是同样的道理。

If you're communicating, right, confidently and strongly, it just makes it easier to sell your language.

如果你在沟通时能做到自信有力,就更容易“展现”你的语言能力。

Okay?

明白吗?

The examiner's not buying the communication, they're not evaluating it, but it helps.

考官并不会给沟通能力打分,但这确实有加分作用。

So just bear that in mind.

所以,请务必记住这一点。

Okay, some final tips for you as you're preparing for your IELTS speaking test.

好的,在你备考雅思口语时,我再给你最后几点建议。

Just remember you wanna be preparing natural spoken conversational English, first of all.

首先要记住,你需要准备的是自然流畅的日常英语口语。

When you are preparing, try and get familiar with the most common topics for IELTS speaking.

在备考时,要尽量熟悉雅思口语的常见话题。

You've got two challenges.

你需要应对两大挑战。

One is to show your language level, but two is to get ideas.

一方面是展示你的语言水平,另一方面是为了积累思路。

If you're gonna talk about the economy, you must have ideas.

如果你要聊经济,就必须有自己的想法。

So, do some research, think about your ideas, make sure you get plenty of ideas, as well as develop your language level, right?

所以,多做些研究,拓展自己的思路,确保有足够的想法,同时也要提升语言水平,对吧?

Get familiar with common or maybe less common topics.

既要熟悉常见话题,也要了解一些冷门话题。

Don't worry about learning all the questions.

不必把所有问题都过一遍。

If you've built up your flexibility, you'll be able to handle that.

只要你练就了随机应变的能力,就能够从容应对。

Don't memorize your answers.

不要背答案。

Doesn't work.

这招没用。

My tip is when you're practicing, try and give a different answer every time to the same question, different answer.

我建议大家练习时,尝试对同一个问题,每次都给出不同的回答,是不同的回答。

Build flexibility.

培养随机应变的能力。

Really key.

这点至关重要。

Also before the test, the day before the test, rest well.

还有考前一天,一定要休息好。

It's a demanding test.

这场考试很耗费精力。

Make sure you rest.

务必保证休息。

The morning of the test, surround yourself in English.

考试当天早上,让自己沉浸在英语环境里。

Listen to the radio, some music, chat with a friend, just say a few words.

听听广播,放点音乐,跟朋友聊聊天,随便说几句都行。

Get yourself in the English mood, right?

让自己进入说英语的状态,对吧?

English vibe, if you like.

也可以说,是找到讲英语的感觉。

Finally, get it in your head that you're going to enjoy the test.

最后,要告诉自己,去享受这场考试。

When students say, "Is the IELTS test enjoyable or terrifying?" Well, it depends.

有学生问:“雅思考试是享受还是折磨?”这得看情况。

It's your choice, really.

说真的,这取决于你自己的选择。

You can choose to enjoy the test or you can choose to be terrified.

你可以选择享受考试,也可以选择被它吓倒。

Admittedly, there will be nerves.

没错,紧张是难免的。

You may have what we say, butterflies in the stomach.

你可能会感到心里七上八下的。

You will probably be nervous, but that's fine.

你很可能会紧张,但没关系。

Just be nervous.

紧张就紧张。

Let that feeling rest in you and then just go ahead.

接受这种紧张感,然后正常发挥就行。

But think, "I'm going to enjoy this. Whatever happens, I can't change anything now. I'm going to enjoy it." And that mindset, positive mindset, is gonna help you in the test to smile, to do your best, to communicate, which also helps, and do your best.

但你要想:“我要享受这个过程。无论如何,我现在也改变不了什么,就好好享受它。”这种积极的心态会帮助你在考试中微笑、有效沟通、竭尽全力,这对你大有裨益,也能让你发挥出最佳水平。

And remember this: most of the examiners want you to succeed.

还有,记住这点:大部分考官都希望你成功。
