As one of China’s most influential AI competitions, the event not only showcased cutting-edge algorithm capabilities but also highlighted its role in driving industrial application, talent cultivation, and ecosystem empowerment.

Spanning five months, the competition attracted 8,131 teams from 36 countries and regions, with challenges covering key sectors such as manufacturing, finance, transportation, and healthcare. The event served as a bridge for cross-industry technology exchange and application.

Ma Yudan, CEO of DI Medverse AI-Tech, noted the uniqueness of the competition: “It brings together all industries on one stage, competing solely on the strength of core algorithms. It is not only a showcase but also an opportunity for startups to compete with industry giants.”

Organizers offered computing vouchers and other R&D support to reduce trial-and-error costs and accelerate testing cycles. Judges emphasized that the competition both tested participants’ technical skills and provided insights for product iteration and market growth. Wu Jun, product manager of AsiAInfo Technologies, said, “This is a platform that validates and enhances product value.”

The event also underscored its international dimension. Teams from Europe, North America, and other regions competed both online and offline. Overseas participant Kayra Kaicioglu, CEO and Co-founder of French startup Data Lobster, praised the competition as “transparent, fair, and professional,” while expressing optimism about Guangzhou’s vast market potential. “This is a fair, international stage,” he said.“Guangzhou also offers enormous industrial opportunities.”

The competition reflects the strong momentum of China’s AI industry. Earlier this month, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) released the Global Innovation Index 2025 in Hong Kong, naming the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou” cluster the world’s top innovation hub for the first time.According to Ding Li, researcher at the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences, the Greater Bay Area is shifting from a “population dividend” to an “engineer dividend,” where “the concentration of large-scale, high-quality human capital, combined with a robust innovation ecosystem, is unleashing strong momentum and economic value.” Contest participants also highlighted China’s unique advantages: “The three pillars of AI are data, algorithms, and computing power. China’s vast data resources will provide critical support for future applications.”

In recent years, Guangzhou has stepped up policy support to create a “rainforest-style” innovation ecosystem, backed by computing infrastructure, financial instruments, and real-world application scenarios. Today, Pazhou is home to a dense cluster of digital economy enterprises, where innovation culture, policy environment, and urban vitality converge. As one contestant put it: “Guangzhou not only offers policy support and resources but also a dynamic, youthful atmosphere that underscores its potential as a global innovation hub.”

The conclusion of the 4th Pazhou Algorithm Competition marks not just the end of a technical contest but the beginning of deeper industry linkages. From a stage for algorithm battles to a source of industrial innovation, Pazhou is rising with openness, pragmatism, and international vision to become a global hub for innovation.

9月22日、23日两天，第四届琶洲算法大赛总决赛及生态赋能大会在广州琶洲举行。作为中国最具影响力的人工智能赛事之一，本届大赛不仅展示了前沿算法的竞技实力，更彰显了“以赛促产、以赛引才、以赛赋能”的现实价值。

本届大赛历时五个月，共吸引全球36个国家和地区8131支队伍参赛，赛题覆盖制造、金融、交通、医疗等多个行业，推动跨产业的技术对接和应用探索。

参赛企业代表、苏州数智元宇人工智能科技有限公司CEO马玉丹表示，大赛独特之处在于“所有行业汇聚到同一舞台，只比拼核心算法优劣”，不仅是展示平台，也让创业公司有机会与行业巨头同台竞技。

主办方提供算力券等研发支持，降低企业试错成本、加快验证周期。大赛既检验了参赛者的技术能力，也为产品迭代和市场增长提供了现实启发。参赛企业代表、亚信科技渊思·智能体平台产品经理吴珺表示：“这是一个能验证产品、提升产品价值的平台。”

赛事国际化氛围同样凸显。来自欧洲、北美等36个国家和地区的团队线上、线下同场竞技。海外参赛者、法国科技初创公司Data Lobster联合创始人兼 CEO Kayra Kaicioglu评价赛事“透明、公正、专业”，并看好广州的市场潜力。他希望借助大赛与科研机构及企业伙伴合作，称“这是一个公平国际的舞台，广州也孕育着巨大的产业机会”。

赛事背后，折射出中国人工智能产业的蓬勃态势。9月初，世界知识产权组织（WIPO）在香港发布《2025年全球创新指数》百强创新集群，“深圳-香港-广州”创新集群首次跃居全球第一。广东省社科院研究员丁力指出，大湾区正从“人口红利”转向“工程师红利”，“大规模、高素质人力资本的集聚，叠加完善的企业创新生态，释放出强劲动能和经济价值。” 参赛选手也强调，中国在未来产业应用上具备显著优势：“AI的三要素是数据、算法、算力，而我们国家在数据量方面的领先，将成为未来应用的重要支撑。”

近年来，广州持续完善政策供给，打造“雨林式”创新生态，配套算力基础设施、金融工具和场景应用，推动算法加快落地。如今的琶洲，数字经济企业密集集聚，创新氛围、政策环境与城市条件叠加，正在释放澎湃活力。正如一位参赛者所言：“广州不仅有政策优势和资源倾斜，更有蓬勃的年轻氛围，让我们看到这里作为全球创新高地的巨大潜力。”

第四届琶洲算法大赛的圆满落幕，不仅是技术竞技的收官，更是产业链接的新起点。从“算法竞技场”到“产业策源地”，琶洲正以开放、务实、国际化的姿态，加速崛起为全球创新高地。
