The ocean harbors abundant biological resources. The shells of shrimp, crabs, and other crustaceans contain a natural substance that is as vital to human health as proteins and vitamins—this substance is called chitin. Through processing, chitin can be converted into chitosan, which is widely used in fields such as medical applications, skincare, and food preservation.
