联邦快递很高兴再次参加中国发展高层论坛。此次盛会是一个重要的平台，可以促进各界交流思想、展开对话并分享我们共同的信念——互联互通对全球的繁荣与进步至关重要。今年是我第二次参加论坛，而联邦快递创始人兼董事会主席施伟德先生早已是中国发展高层论坛的老朋友。他富有远见，在联邦快递创立之初就已开始深耕中国市场。
联邦快递是首家获批开通进出中国内地航线的全货运航空公司，自1984年起便在中国提供国际快递服务，并始终致力于深化本地发展。如今，我们在中国拥有1.1万名员工，位于广州的亚太区转运中心和位于上海的国际快件和货运中心高效运转，每周有超过330架次国际航班进出中国内地。在过去的几个月，联邦快递新开通了多条国际航线，进一步加强了美国、中国、印度和欧洲之间的互联互通。我们在华的客户和团队是联邦快递生态系统的核心，他们为我们实现"连接人与无限可能"的使命提供了强劲动力。

FedEx is proud to participate once again in the China Development Forum. This gathering is a vital platform for advancing ideas, dialogue, and our shared belief that an interconnected world is essential for global prosperity and progress. This marks my second year attending the forum. Of course, our founder and chairman, Fred Smith, has been here many, many times before. He had the remark able foresight to invest in China during the early years of FedEx.
We were the first all-cargo carrier to have the rights to fly to and from China, and we have been deeply committed to the region since we launched our international delivery service here in 1984. Today we have 11,000 local team members with global hubs in Guangzhou and Shanghai. We operate over 330 international flights weekly in and out of China. In the last few months, we launched several new flights to enhance connectivity between the United States, China, India, and Europe. Our customers and teams here are vital to the FedEx ecosystem, significantly advancing our purpose of connecting people and possibilities around the globe.
As delegates of this forum, we have a similar shared responsibility. Connecting China with the world essential for a better future for us all. Every day in the FedEx network, we see the tremendous value of global trade from opening new markets to diversifying supply chains, to uplifting people and communities.
Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy. We can do more to unlock trade's full potential. To start, we must make supply chains more flexible and resilient. We need to simplify processes, especially by reducing regulatory trade barriers. We must also leverage the power of technology. At FedEx, we are using data and Al to improve the efficiency of our network, reduce emissions and waste, and develop digital tools that make supply chains smarter for everyone. We have always been a company of action, and we remain committed to expanding access to global trade, driving economic growth, and creating value and opportunity for communities, customers, and businesses worldwide. That's why we support increased engagement with American and Chinese leaders to bolster one of the world's most important bilateral relationships.
We will continue to call for a greater awareness, understanding informed opinions on foreign policy to address complex challenges. I’m confident in China's long-term growth and see tremendous opportunities for forging greater community and connection globally. At FedEx, our purpose will always be to connect to what's possible, a better, more united world for all.
