I lived in Europe while studying abroad in Florence, Rome, and Naples. This opened my eyes to just how poisonous our food is in America. Not only did I find out how good my food would be without unnecessary additives but also how phenomenal life can be having a digestive system not burdened by all these chemicals.

Transparency on the harmful effects of some of these ingredients is deeply concerning. If your someone who cares about worker productivity you would want safer food that keeps people out of the hospital. If your someone who cares about the birth rate you would want more ingredients in our food and non-food products banned. Big Food industries and Big Agricultural lobby the FDA, state/federal politicians to not be more restrictive on ingredients in our food.

The Environmental Working Group is made up of charlatans funded by the "organic" food industry and relying on them for much of this video shows bias, poor judgment and an unprofessional approach. BHT is not associated with any danger or harm to humans and has been used safely for decades. Note that this does not mean I disagree with everything in the video - removing dyes from food is fine.

Even though they were making major changes to the design, the FAA allowed Boeing to police itself because they don't have enough inspectors to handle that. The US government has a chronic problem of somehow burning through money and driving up the federal deficit, while simultaneously underfunding critical government functions related to public safety. And as far as I'm concerned, both the right and the left have failed at any meaningful change.

I'm in the US. Around November of '24 we had a loaf of bread that no one really liked so it sat for weeks. When I went to throw it out it had no mold and was still soft enough to eat. I threw a few chunks to the birds who didn't touch a crumb of it. Bread should not last weeks into months. It's just not natural. The birds not eating it was a sign that I shouldn't either. It still grosses me out to think about it.

I never listen to the FDA at all. They're just a shill of agrotech. If I want to know if a food or additive is likely safe I go to the EU FDA. Everyone should never listen to the FDA on any topic and only listen to Europe and Canada
