Tom has little homework to do, so he has enough time to sleep tonight.根据后面的enough time to sleep判断，前面作业不多。homework是不可数名词，当然用little。汤姆今天作业少，因此今晚有充足的睡眠时间。
The math problem was so difficult that few students could work it out.根据difficult 判断，做出来的不多，学生是可数名词，所以用few.这道数学题如此难，没有几个学生能做出来。
五，固定短语only a ...只有，表示不多，相当于few和little。尽管如此，only a few和only a little 语法上还是肯定的。注意反意疑问句。
