The event showcased the achievements in building a beautiful Hunan through various programmes such as a thematic VCR "Lush Green, New Rhythms" and an original theatrical performance "Honeysuckles Bloom." Additionally, an initiative highlighting "Making Every Effort to Safeguard Lush Mountains and Lucid Waters, Jointly Building a Beautiful Hunan for Shared Benefits" was released, calling on the public to adopt green, low-carbon lifestyles and actively participate in ecological and environmental protection.

In recent years, Hunan has continuously intensified its efforts in the fight againist pollution, vigorously promoted a green development path, and achieved new progress in building a beautiful Hunan. In 2024, the province's proportion of state-controlled water sections with good-quality surface water reached 98.6%, ranking among the top in the country. The proportion of days with good air quality was higher than the national average by 1.8 percentage points, while heavily polluted days decreased by 50 year-on-year. Both forest coverage and wetland protection rates remain at the forefront nationwide.During the event, "Exemplary Cases of Building a Beautiful Hunan" were presented, and "Hunan's Third Batch of Ten Major Ecological and Environmental Damage Compensation Cases" was announced. An unveiling ceremony for Hunan provincial ecological environment science popularization and education bases and the province's second batch of national-level comprehensive ecological quality monitoring stations was held simultaneously.The event was co-hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, the Social Work Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Civilization Construction Office, the CPC Shaoyang Municipal Committee, and the Shaoyang Municipal People's Government.
