The results of the Fourth "China's Top 100 Cultural Counties" 2024 selection were recently announced in Beijing. Hunan's Fenghuang County, Yongshun County, Lixian County, Xiangtan County, and Liuyang County-level City made the list.

The China's Top 100 Cultural Counties evaluation aims to discover, popularize, and demonstrate China's county-level administrative regions with genuine cultural heritage, to preserve culture, highlight communities, and encourage exchanges.

This year's selection process lasted nearly half a year and followed the four evaluation indicators: "humanistic history", "natural landscape", "customs and habits", and "innovation and development". It also assessed the number of "national key cultural relics", "intangible cultural heritage", and "4A and 5A tourist attractions" in the county. The final results were released after the confirmation of the research objects, the construction of the popularization platform, the publicity of data, the third-party data survey, the submission of information, the guidance of experts, and the evaluation of the media.
