On China's National Day, China Railway (CR) Guangzhou Group was expected to handle 3.55 million Passenger trips, up by 385,000 compared to the same period last year, marking a 12.2% rise. The figure also surpassed the peak day of 3.469 million passenger trips during the May Day holiday by 81,000, which would set a new single-day record of passenger flow if realized.

Passenger flows were highly concentrated at major railway stations such as Guangzhounan, Shenzhenbei, and Changshanan. Among them, Guangzhounan Railway Station was expected to handle 520,000 passenger trips, breaking its previous record of 478,000 visits.

To meet the travel demands of passengers during holidays, railway authorities stepped up efforts to enhance transport capacity. On National Day, 571 additional trains were put into operation, including 487 EMU trains. In the early hours of October 2nd, another 318 high-speed EMUs were added, primarily serving routes such as the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, Xiamen-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway, Guiyang-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway, Shenzhen-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua High-Speed Railway, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway.

创历史新高！假期首日国铁广州局预计发送旅客355万人次

国庆节当天，国铁广州局迎来客流最高峰，预计发送旅客355万人次，较去年同期增加38.5万人次，增幅达12.2%，较五一最高日（346.9万次）多出8.1万人次，客流创历史单日新高。

广州南、深圳北、长沙南等主要火车站的出城客流高度集中，其中广州南站预计发送旅客52万人次，突破了此前47.8万人次的历史高点。

为满足假期旅客的出行需求，铁路部门积极挖掘运输潜力。国庆节当天增开列车571列，其中动车组列车487列，10月2日凌晨加开夜间高铁动车组列车318列，主要加开京广高铁、广深港高铁、沪昆高铁、厦深线、贵广线、赣深高铁、深湛线、张吉怀高铁、广深城际等线路列车。
