Since the start of September, the temperature difference between day and night has widened, and the risk of autumn floods has increased, putting power grid equipment operation under multiple challenges. State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company promptly launched the autumn safety inspection campaign, fully advancing the “full-coverage autumn inspection” initiative. It regards the autumn inspection as a key measure to prepare for the peak winter power supply period and makes every effort to safeguard the safe and stable operation of the power grid.

This autumn inspection covers power transmission and transformation equipment, distribution network lines, agricultural drainage transformer areas, and power supply facilities in key public places across the city. The company organized joint efforts from multiple departments including operation and maintenance, overhaul, and safety supervision, and implemented a “dragnet-style inspection, checklist-based rectification, and closed-loop management” approach to ensure no potential risks or hidden dangers are overlooked.

In terms of inspection methods, the company has promoted a combined approach of “manual inspection + UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) inspection + infrared temperature measurement” to conduct precise testing on key parts such as tower foundations, conductor joints, and insulators. Special emphasis has been placed on enhanced inspections in low-lying areas, cross-river lines, and busy agricultural regions, effectively improving inspection efficiency and the rate of hidden danger detection. At the same time, it has organized a special campaign to clear the line corridors, promptly removing debris and eliminating potential safety hazards to ensure the safe operation of the power grid.

To further improve safety management and control, the company strictly implements hierarchical risk management and on-site supervision, and uses “unannounced, unplanned, unaccompanied, unrestricted, and direct access to sites, direct inspection of issues” (Four Noes and Two Directs) inspection methods and remote video monitoring to strengthen on-site safety management. This ensures that the entire process of various operations is controlled and all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
