On September 22, the China Business Missions to BRICS—2025 BPIC Industry Matchmaking Event (China-Egypt) was successfully held in Cairo, Egypt. Over 100 representatives from more than 10 enterprises based in Xiamen, Fujian; nearly 10 Chinese enterprises operating in Egypt; and over 20 Egyptian enterprises participated. Three cooperation agreements were signed: the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone to jointly explore establishing an enterprise overseas expansion platform and facilitate market entry into Egypt for Chinese and BRICS enterprises. Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. entered into a Complete Knock-Down (CKD) minibus procurement agreement with EL-Kasrawy for Automotive Industry S.A.E. C&D ITS signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Regina Travel of Egypt to collaborate on outbound/inbound tourism, conferences and exhibitions, cruise tourism, and study tours. Going forward, the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center will actively organize matchmaking activities such as "China Business Missions to BRICS" and "BRICS Business Missions to China," establish a BRICS enterprise international cooperation headquarters cluster, implement concrete projects, and inject new momentum into fostering high-quality BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution and advancing global sustainable development.
9月22日，中国企业金砖行——2025金砖创新基地产业对接会（中埃）在埃及开罗成功举办。来自福建厦门的10余家企业，中国在埃的近10家企业，以及来自埃及的20余家企业超百名代表参会交流。对接会共达成3项合作协议签约，金砖创新中心与中埃·泰达苏伊士经贸合作区签署合作谅解备忘录，双方将探讨共建企业出海平台，共同推动中国及金砖国家企业拓展埃及市场。厦门金龙旅行车有限公司与EL-Kasrawy for Automotive Industry S.A.E. 签署全散装件小型巴士采购协议。厦门建发国际旅行社集团有限公司与埃及华丽旅行社签署战略合作协议，围绕出入境旅游、会议展览、邮轮旅游、研学旅行等方面开展联合开发及市场运营。下一步，金砖创新基地将积极举办“中国企业金砖行”“金砖企业中国行”等形式多样的对接活动，着力打造金砖企业国际合作总部区，务实推动项目落地，为构建高质量的金砖国家新工业革命伙伴关系、促进全球可持续发展注入新的动力。

On September 17, six outcomes were released during the parallel sub-forums of the BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2025, bringing the forum’s total deliverables to 12. On the same day, the Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Adaptation Center of BPIC was inaugurated. The center will address Chinese enterprises’ international expansion and BRICS cooperation needs through three pillars—regulatory connectivity, capability adaptation, and industrial collaboration. It will establish one regulatory standards advisory office, one industrial application platform, and one ecosystem alliance. Within three to five years, the center aims to evolve into an international hub facilitating regulatory/standard interoperability in intelligent manufacturing and robotics among BRICS nations, a national capability center supporting enterprises’ technology and product adaptation overseas, and a cooperative platform integrating industrial chain ecosystem partners.
9月17日，2025金砖国家新工业革命伙伴关系论坛6场平行分论坛发布6项成果，此次金砖国家新工业革命伙伴关系论坛共发布了12项成果。同日，金砖创新基地智能制造和机器人适配中心成立。该适配中心位于厦门，将立足我国企业出海及金砖国家合作需求，围绕“规则连通、能力适配、产业协作”三大方向开展建设，建设1个规则标准咨询中心、1个产业承接载体、1个生态合作联盟。适配中心力争通过三至五年建设，逐步打造为金砖国家智能制造和机器人领域规则互通、标准互认的国际枢纽节点，成为服务企业技术和产品适配出海的国家能力中心，成为汇聚产业链生态伙伴的合作平台。

The third "Su Song Cup" Future Industrial Technology Innovation Competition main-track semi-finals recently concluded, with 60 outstanding projects selected from 150 shortlisted entries advancing to October’s finals in Xiamen. Since its June 17 launch, this year’s "Su Song Cup" garnered significant attention: the main track attracted 873 applications, a 74% surge over the previous edition, drawing innovators from over 10 countries and 89 Chinese cities. Competing projects span key domains including artificial intelligence, big data, advanced strategic materials, biomedicine, new energy, and deep-sea/space technologies. The 60 finalist projects will convene in Xiamen to compete for awards through roadshow presentations and innovation exhibitions. Awards include the Technology Star Award (RMB 1 million each), Entrepreneurship Pioneer Award (RMB 600,000 each), Innovation Potential Award (RMB 300,000 each), and Talent Scout Award (up to RMB 30,000 each).

The "XMU-GUYU Joint Research Center for Biomedicine," co-established by GUYU and Xiamen University, was recently inaugurated in Xiamen. Founded by Xiamen University alumnus Wang Anning, this collaboration exemplifies Xiamen’s commitment to leveraging alumni resources for industry-academia-research integration. Academician Lin Shengcai of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor at Xiamen University’s School of Life Sciences, serves as the center’s director. Academician Lin and his team pioneered the discovery of the AMPK-activated lysosomal pathway, whose activation correlates closely with health and longevity. As a benchmark enterprise in China’s domestic skincare sector, GUYU has long focused on biotechnology R&D for skincare and whitening products. Through this partnership, GUYU will locate the joint center in Xiamen and invest RMB 12.5 million in R&D funding during the first five-year cooperation period to conduct fundamental research and tackle technical challenges in cutting-edge biomedical fields, accelerating the translation of scientific achievements into market applications.

Recently, the 2025 list of China’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises was released, featuring 22 companies from Fujian Province—ranking seventh nationally—with CATL leading the provincial list. Three Xiamen-based enterprises were included: Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd., Chengtun Mining Group Co., Ltd., and Xiamen King Long Motor Group Co., Ltd. Xiamen Tungsten, China’s largest tungsten and molybdenum products producer and exporter, has established a synergistic rare earth business system covering the entire industrial chain. Its subsidiary XTC New Energy boasts strong capabilities in lithium battery cathode materials. Xiamen Tungsten achieved total operating revenue of RMB 19.178 billion in the first half of the year, up 11.75% year-on-year. Chengtun Mining focuses on metals for new energy batteries, such as copper, nickel, and cobalt, recording first-half revenue of RMB 13.804 billion, a 20.94% year-on-year increase. Xiamen King Long Motor, a globally leading bus manufacturer, exports products to nearly 170 countries and regions across five continents, maintaining the industry’s top position in bus exports. Latest statistics show cumulative vehicle sales of 29,986 units from January to August this year, up 3.3% year-on-year.
