Recently, 160 charging piles under the Phase III project of the three-dimensional parking garage at Wugongzhi Wharf in Zhujiajian were successfully put into operation, marking the official full operation of the largest smart and orderly charging demonstration station among 5A scenic areas in Zhejiang Province.

As a core hub of Zhoushan’s “Tourism Golden Triangle”, Wugongzhi Wharf in Zhujiajian handles a large number of tourists from all over the country every year and serves as a must-pass point for tourists heading to Putuo Mountain (a 5A scenic area) for meditation and worship. Up to now, a total of 336 7kW AC charging piles and 4 80kW DC charging piles have been put into operation at Wugongzhi Wharf. Specifically, 20 7kW AC charging piles were launched in Phase I, 160 7kW AC charging piles in Phase II, and 156 7kW AC charging piles plus 4 80kW DC charging piles in Phase III.

State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply Company has been committed to advancing the construction of local new energy infrastructure. During the preparation and construction of the project, professional personnel from various departments of the company coordinated and collaborated closely—from the early-stage planning and design, to power guarantee during construction, and later equipment commissioning. Every link embodies their efforts. The full operation of the charging piles at Wugongzhi Wharf in Zhujiajian will greatly meet tourists’ charging needs, effectively alleviate the “charging anxiety” of new energy vehicle owners, and provide solid support for tourists’ green travel. Meanwhile, it further enhances the intelligent and green service level of the scenic area, adds new highlights to building a first-class 5A scenic area in China, and helps the local tourism industry move toward a more sustainable development path.

In the next step, State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply Company will continue to increase investment in and maintenance of charging facilities in and around scenic areas, constantly optimize charging services to safeguard tourists’ green travel, and promote in-depth integration and coordinated development of the tourism and new energy industries.
