This edition of the Guangzhou Marathon picks up the "relay baton" from the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, focusing on Greater Bay Area integration, event innovation, green sustainability, and smart experience. Drawing on the organizational expertise of those major events, it combines upgraded venues with a mature operational system to create a high-level sporting event.

The race continues its classic "one-river, two-bank" route, starting from the South Plaza of Tianhe Sports Center, passing landmarks such as Canton Tower and Liede Bridge, crossing four administrative districts before reaching Haixinsha Island. The route demonstrates Guangzhou's historical depth and modern vitality. Notably, the starting point, Tianhe Sports Center, has just completed a near-zero carbon renovation, becoming the nation's first large sports venue to achieve near-zero carbon standards, with its surrounding track and environment upgraded at the same time.

This year's Guangzhou Marathon further enhances runner-centered services: multi-level guidance and fast-track lanes, improved bib and parcel storage processes, stronger signage at key points, and denser refreshment stations after the 30-kilometer mark. The race also emphasizes its green ethos by introducing a "no parcel storage" option and hosting the first "Eco Marathon Runner" campaign. Technology empowerment will play a central role, integrating smart services with the city's industry strengths to upgrade the event experience.

Race kits and finisher materials have also been upgraded, including special finisher shirts for sub-three-hour runners and Guangzhou-themed foods. Along the route, there will be cultural cheering zones featuring Cantonese and GBA cultures, with volunteers delivering professional support. Services at the finish line will be thoughtful: in addition to the standard facilities, runners with birthdays on race day will receive customized gifts, and a gourmet supply zone with Cantonese specialties will help replenish athletes' energy.

赛事延续“一江两岸”经典路线，从天河体育中心南广场出发，经广州塔、猎德大桥等地标，跨4个行政区至海心沙，展现广州历史与现代活力。值得一提的是，起点天河体育中心刚完成近零碳改造，成全国首个近零碳大型体育场馆，环场跑道及环境同步升级。

本届广马以跑者为核心优化服务：设多级指引与快速通道，优化号码布、存衣流程；关键节点增强标识，30公里后加密补给站。同时突出绿色理念，推出“不存衣”服务与首届环保跑者活动；融入科技赋能，结合智慧服务与城市产业特色提升体验。

参赛及完赛物资升级，含破三完赛服、广州特色食品；赛道设广府与大湾区文化加油点，志愿者提供专业服务。终点服务细致，除常规设施外，为当日生日跑者备专属礼物，并设美食补给区，以粤味为选手补能。
