Recently, Guangzhou proposed to enrich the integration of "consumption and tourism," launching featured products such as cruise and yacht services. Since resuming regular operations in December 2023, Nansha International Cruise Home Port has successfully secured the deployment of the Adora Mediterranea cruise season in Guangzhou. A second domestically built cruise ship, named "Adora Flora City" after the city's image, is expected to be delivered by the end of 2026 and embark on international routes.
Since its launch, the Adora Mediterranea has completed 52 voyages, covering destinations such as Japan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, China, serving over 100,000 passengers and generating more than 500 million yuan in tourism-related consumption. Known as the "Ship of Art," the ship draws its inspiration of the interior design from Mediterranean civilizations. Featuring 15 restaurants and bars, it offers a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine, and authentic Cantonese dim sum, earning high praise from tourists for its cultural experience and culinary service.
To attract more tourists from the GBA, the cruise has launched themed voyages of "cruise and culture", such as New Year's Eve and the Year of the Snake celebrations, and commemorating Zheng He's maritime expeditions, enhancing cultural engagement. Since the Chinese New Year, occupancy rates have exceeded 90%, reflecting a robust growth trend in cruise tourism.
At the same time, Guangzhou is upgrading its cruise supply chain capabilities. In March 2025, Nansha International Cruise Home Port became the first port to implement a bonded direct supply model for cruise goods in Guangdong, which reduces supply chain costs. With support from customs authorities, China Duty-Free Cruise Services Limited is also exploring new bonded supply models to improve cruise lines' operational efficiency.
Data shows that 96.8% of passengers on the cruise are Chinese mainland residents, primarily from Guangdong and neighboring provinces, with tourists aged 60 and above accounting for 70%. To enhance the border-crossing experience, the Nansha Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station has introduced a smart AR-enabled hall and formed Cantonese and foreign language teams to improve the efficiency and the warmth of entry procedures for tourists across the GBA.

近日,广州提出丰富“消费+旅游”融合业态,推出邮轮游艇等特色消费产品。南沙国际邮轮母港自2023年12月恢复常态化运营以来,成功争取爱达·地中海号在广州部署邮轮航季,第二艘国产大邮轮以广州城市形象命名为“爱达·花城号”,预计2026年底交付并开启国际航线。
“爱达·地中海号”运营至今已执行52个航次,覆盖日本、越南、中国香港等地,累计服务旅客超10万人次,带动消费超5亿元。该船以“艺术之船”著称,装潢灵感源自地中海文明,配有15家餐厅酒吧,提供中西融合美食及地道广式茶点,文化体验与餐饮服务深受旅客喜爱。
为吸引更多大湾区游客,邮轮还推出“邮轮+文化”主题航次,如元旦跨年、蛇年新春、纪念郑和下西洋等,增强文化沉浸感。今年春节以来,上座率达90%以上,邮轮经济呈现强劲增长势头。
同时,广州也在提升邮轮物资保障能力。今年3月,南沙国际邮轮母港实现广东省首个邮轮物资“保税直供”模式落地,降低了供应链成本。中免邮轮服务有限公司在海关支持下,探索“保税供船”新模式,为邮轮运营提供便利。
数据显示,南沙邮轮游客中,96.8%为内地居民,以广东及周边省份为主,60岁以上旅客占七成。为优化通关体验,南沙边检站推出“边检AR大厅”,并组建粤语、外语小分队,提升粤港澳大湾区游客通关效率与温度。
