On the evening of September 12th, the 10th Tapo Temple Fair officially kicked off at Tapo Park and Zhaoxiang Park in Chancheng District, Foshan City. This year's fair follows the theme "Tracing Roots, Discovering Fun, Savoring Flavors," attracting both local residents and tourists for a cultural celebration that blends traditional folk customs with modern experiences.

The ceremony began with a loud call to "fetch water," as cool water was drawn from the ancient Tapo Well, marking the start of the fair's highlight—the "Water Blessing Ceremony." Six major groups, including local residents, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) inheritors, overseas Chinese, business representatives, time-honored brand delegates, and students, paraded under the guidance of a massive 5-meter-long fish-shaped lantern. They passed the Tapo water, symbolizing the hope for a smooth and prosperous life, to Zhaoxiang Park, where it was poured into a vessel of blessings. The solemn ceremony, signifying the continuity of cultural heritage, carried the shared wishes of the people of Foshan for a better future. Along the route, many citizens stopped to watch, immersed in the blend of traditional rituals and urban memories.

"This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Tapo Temple Fair. What started as a traditional blessing event has now evolved into a comprehensive cultural celebration, incorporating ICH, cultural and creative industries, cuisine, and social interactions," said an event organizer. The fair aims to continuously integrate trendy elements, infusing youthful vitality into the legacy of Lingnan culture while ensuring its passing on to future generations.

This year's fair also featured an ICH-themed amusement park, combining traditional crafts with fun games and a card-collecting activity, allowing visitors to experience the charm of Lingnan's ICH in a playful way. Additionally, time-honored food stalls such as the renowned Dexin Zhai and Hai Wang Ting Zai, along with creative culinary booths, offered a delightful gastronomic journey.

佛山禅城2025塔坡庙会启幕

9月12日晚，第十届塔坡庙会在佛山市禅城区塔坡公园与兆祥公园热闹启幕。本届庙会以“寻根祖庙·寻趣祖庙·寻味祖庙”为主线，吸引市民游客齐聚，共赴一场传统民俗与现代体验交融的文化盛会。

随着一声“起水咯”，清凉的塔坡水从古老的塔坡井取出，塔坡庙会的重头戏——“顺水仪式”开始。由原住民、非遗代表性传承人、华侨、商界代表、老字号代表及学生组成的六大方阵，在5米长超大鱼灯的引领下，接力将象征“顺风又顺水”的塔坡水传至兆祥公园，汇入福泽容器。庄重的“顺水仪式”寓意文化源流绵延不绝，寄托着佛山市民对美好生活的共同向往和祈愿。沿途市民纷纷驻足观看，感受传统仪式与城市记忆的交融。

“今年是塔坡庙会举行的第十年，活动从传统祈福活动发展为一个融合非遗、文创、美食、社交的综合性文化IP。”相关负责人表示，希望将潮流元素不断融入庙会活动，让岭南文化代代传承的同时，为其注入年轻活力。

此次庙会倾心打造非遗游乐场，将非遗与趣味游戏结合，搭配闪卡收集玩法，让市民在趣味中体验岭南非遗魅力；集聚得心斋、海王艇仔点心等老字号、创意美食摊位，带来一场美妙的舌尖之旅。
