中方注意到，美东时间4月7日，美方威胁进一步对华加征50%关税，中方对此坚决反对。如果美方升级关税措施落地，中方将坚决采取反制措施维护自身权益。

China will resolutely take countermeasures to safeguard its rights and interests should the United States escalate its tariff measures, the country's commerce ministry said on Tuesday.

The comments were made by a spokesperson with the Ministry of Commerce after the United States threatened to impose an additional 50-percent tariff on Chinese imports, to which the spokesperson said that China firmly opposes.
