Would love to see them do conversion kits and aftermarket battery upgrades for the North American market with some of these new batteries. If CATL and BYD could develop aftermarket battery kits for North American EVs, then I'd be all over that. A 100 kW CATL xilin or BYD Blade 2 battery paired with an EV conversion kit would be awesome in an older pickup truck conversion. I hate the new EV pickups that are on offer, and would love to have a way to convert my ICE to an EV that doesn't look terrible and weigh 10,000 lbs. Bring new life to old vehicles through the power of aftermarket parts. It'd be a great way to break into the North American market without having the anti-competitive, protectionist nonsense that accompanies being a new automaker in the market.
Even better...if they released a battery and powertrain conversion kit without software, or with open source software for the tinkerers. Not everyone needs infotainment, navigation, and autonomous driving. Make a kit that can run off of an Android platform, and offer basic software that allows users to bolt it in, calibrate pedal settings, regen, and power distribution, and go. This is going to be the way forward to get people to buy in to EVs. Great range, simplistic controls, wide compatibility, and easy to DIY would 100% attract a new demographic of buyer in North America.

At least here in the USA I don't see chargers this powerful coming until we get a real president and a competent government again, assuming we survive the next 4 years. Also, I would think chargers this powerful would be VERY expensive. Please do a video on the cost of chargers.

300kw is not enough. If you have a busy day, lots of places to go and little time, sitting 20 to 30 minutes waiting to charge is not useful. We need big batteries that charge fast to finally get away with charging anxiety.

Yeah and how much power would be required to run five charging stations on the same electric line? Too much for the city to handle probably. It has been discussed before, how much electricity would be needed to run this style of five charging station, and nowhere in the world can rainbows and unicorn farts can power this, not even solar. You need coal or nuclear to do that.

This will never work. That's 1 MEGAWATT of power.... A nuclear power station can deliver 1000-2000 megawatts. Now imagine tens of thousands of people charging EV's non stop with that kind of power. The entire system would melt down.
