An annual work conference for Hunan's logistics industry, and also Zhangjiajie Project Investment Promotion Event, were convened on March 31. The conference announced that, in 2024, Hunan's social logistics value rose 5.8 percent year on year to 1.553 billion CNY.

Hunan's logistics industry has maintained a steady growth momentum in 2024, with continuous improvements in operational efficiency. Statistics showed that, the provincial social logistics reached 1.553 billion CNY in value, rising 5.8 percent over the previous year. Social logistic costs amounted to 743.89 billion CNY, growing by 4.5 percent. The ratio of social logistics costs to GDP down 0.2 percentage points year on year to 14 percent, implicating savings of more than 10 billion CNY in logistics costs based on Hunan's GDP of 5.3 trillion CNY in 2024.

Currently, Hunan has 375 A-level logistics enterprises, including 10 star-rated cold chain operators, 43 excellent warehouse service suppliers, 119 star-rated warehouses, and 19 green warehouses. Among them, 30 enterprises have been identified as 5A level, the highest standard in China.

Zhangjiajie has been actively developing modern logistics industry, establishing a comprehensive transportation and logistics system integrating aviation, railway, and road transportation.

The conference unveiled the "2024 Top Rankings of Hunan's Logistics Enterprises," honoring outstanding organizations and individuals in the industry.

The conference was guided by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and Zhangjiajie Municipal Government, and jointly hosted by Hunan Daily, Hunan Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Hunan Cold Chain Logistics Association, and Zhangjiajie Economic Development Investment Group.
