First of all, I think our character is one of the most significant factors. For example, when a calm person is making a decision, he often need to think for a long time to make sure there are no problems. As a result, his decision-making process is usually slow and thorough. On the contrary, a hot-blooded person, he tends to act more aggressive. What's more, our personalities are not just calm or impulsive, but more complex. So everyone makes different decisions under the influence of their complex personalities.

Second, the environment we work in has an impact on our decisions too. Man is a kind of social animal and we must deal with them. Therefore, we have to take into account the advice and feelings of those around us. Even if the person is firm, but the whole company, especially the boss, are denying him.
