很久以来，泳池水的净化消毒一直采用一氧化物乃至液氯。直到二十世纪臭氧技术的发展。才使臭气进入了水质处理的领域，并越来越显示出它的优越性。但是在实际应用中却存在不少问题:

臭氧机和反应塔造价很高，至使很多使用者望而止步。

与臭氧机配套的混合器种类少，混合效率低。至使30%-70%的臭氧不能溶于水中而逸出，这不但污染了空气环境，而且使臭氧机的数量成倍增，加大了的投资。

泳池水净化的设备要逐一单个购买，至使型号杂乱，配套困难；质量难以保证，损坏和返修增多。

经过多年的探索研究，并将光和臭气进行结合，—套新一代的消毒系统问世，并取得良好的处理效果，这就是本产品UV一O3消毒系统。它是将特殊波长的紫外线能激发臭氧活性，加速其与水分子生成羟基游离基(OH-）的特点结合在一个系统中。从而得到比单纯臭氧好得多的消毒效果。

理论依据：

OH-是氧气与水反应后的活性物质，比次氯酸根(CIO-)的氧化能力大10-100倍，杀菌性能大3125倍，这是UV-O3系统的理论依据。

游泳池使用UV-03消毒系统的三大作用

1、具有最强的杀菌性及灭活病毒的作用，可有效防止传染性疾病的延实验证明，粪型大肠杆菌的灭活只需要3秒。某些病原菌，例如病毒、阿米巴变形虫、囊胞等能抵抗氯剂，但却不能幸免而被OH-杀死。UV-03消毒系统的使用给泳者以一种可以安全游泳的保证。

2、UV-03消毒系统氧化能力极强，他能防止造成泳池室内特殊臭味的化合物在水中的积累。包括泳者排泄物与氯反应生成的含气有机物的积累，这些化合物有一氯胺、二氯胺、三氯胺、THM、氯化肌酸、尿酸和尿素等，他们中有不少本身具有色泽或臭味，并都属于THM的前驱物。UV-O3消毒系统实际上是在不断的阻断这些前驱物的生成，使游泳池成为池水清澈、空气新鲜和眼睑、鼻膜无刺激的健身场所。当然，其中尤为重要的是水中THM的大幅度下降，是给予健康人们创造的最好条件。

3、UV-O3消毒系统是协助砂滤去除金属盐类及有机物，这是由于有机物在气化过程中极易成为多极化合物，并能与多价金属阳离子，如钙、镁铁、铝等结合成络合物，并成为微絮凝态而被砂滤去除，能使绿色池水变成蓝色、闪烁、清澈。
