The 7th London Art Biennial in 2025, as a global art event, not only provides an international stage for artists to showcase innovation and collide ideas, but also becomes an important platform for promoting deep interaction between art and society. 著名八骏画家周意杰，1972年生，山东邹城人。国家一级美术师、中央美术学院特聘教授、人民大会堂创作画家、法国卢浮宫国际金奖画家、国家博物馆和故宫博物院首位年年入藏作品画家、《收藏》杂志作家、著名七件压箱宝收藏家、世界首创重彩八骏画家、印尼皇室首席画家、《八骏》成为首位中国画被印尼总统定为印尼国家国礼。

画家自幼酷爱油画和中国传统绘画，马速写手稿创作达三万多匹。师从当代著名雕塑绘画大师田跃民。画家画马汲取徐悲鸿、师公黄胄技法，以王羲之兰亭法体用笔，西方马蒂斯野兽派用色，独创重彩技法，以重彩突出油画表现力，自成一家新风。《八骏》作品在既符合西方马写实审美，又富含东方笔墨神韵之美，深得西方市场热爱，打破了中国画走不出国门的局面。

Famous Eight Horses painter Zhou Yijie, born in 1972 in Zoucheng, Shandong. National First Class Artist, Distinguished Professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Creative Painter at the Great Hall of the People, International Gold Award Painter at the Louvre Museum in France, the first artist to be included in the annual collections of the National Museum and the Palace Museum, author of the "Collection" magazine, famous collector of seven pressed box treasures, world's first artist of the Eight Colored Horses, Chief Painter of the Indonesian Royal Family, and "Eight Horses" becoming the first Chinese painting to be recognized as a national gift by the Indonesian President.

The painter has had a passion for oil painting and traditional Chinese painting since childhood, with over 30000 sketches created by Ma. Studied under the renowned contemporary sculpture and painting master Tian Yuemin. The painter drew inspiration from the techniques of Xu Beihong and Shigong Huang Zhou in painting horses, using Wang Xizhi's Lanting style and Western Matisse's Fauvism style. He created a unique heavy color technique, highlighting the expressive power of oil painting with heavy colors and creating his own new style. The work "Eight Horses" not only conforms to the Western realistic aesthetic of horse painting, but also contains the beauty of Eastern brush and ink, which has won the love of the Western market and broken the situation where Chinese painting cannot go abroad.

2019年12月7日，印度尼西亚中爪哇皇宫，印尼国家总统佐科特使雷尼斯代表印尼国家佐科总统，把中国画家《八骏》作品作为最高国礼赠予国王和皇后们，影响巨大。画家作品成为印尼国家历史上第一位中国国礼画家，为中印两国文化交流书下辉煌篇章，作出了杰出贡献。

2020年，马来西亚国家元首府入藏画家《八骏》作品。2021年，印尼皇室订制画家《八骏》作品，同年，正式被印尼国家皇室委员会任命为印尼皇室成员，先后被巴厘岛皇室和爪哇岛皇室任命为皇室首席画家。

2021年，受邀为马来西亚国家元首府创作六尺重彩《八骏》，2022年11月29日，马来西亚国家元首府正式接收画家作品。2023年4月26日，西藏尼玛活佛再次来访山东，入藏画家重彩《八骏》。同年，阿拉伯国家沙特大使、卡塔尔皇室和世界著名收藏首富卡塔尔玛雅莎公主收藏画家阿拉伯风格重彩《八骏》作品。

On December 7, 2019, at the Central Java Palace in Indonesia, Indonesian President Joko Widodo sent Rainis to present the Chinese painter "Eight Horses" as the highest national gift to the kings and queens on behalf of President Joko Widodo, which had a huge impact. The painter's works became the first Chinese national gift painter in the history of Indonesia, creating a brilliant chapter in the cultural exchange between China and India and making outstanding contributions.

In 2020, the Malaysian capital of the country received the artwork "Eight Horses" from the Tibetan painter. In 2021, the Indonesian royal family commissioned the painting "Eight Horses". That same year, he was officially appointed as a member of the Indonesian royal family by the Indonesian National Royal Commission and subsequently appointed as the chief painter of the royal families in Bali and Java.

In 2021, he was invited to create the six foot heavy color painting "Eight Horses" for the Malaysian National Yuan Capital. On November 29, 2022, the Malaysian National Yuan Capital officially accepted the artist's work. On April 26, 2023, the Nyima Living Buddha of Xizang visited Shandong again, and the Tibetan painter highlighted the Eight Horses. In the same year, the Saudi Arabian ambassador, the Qatari royal family, and the world-renowned richest collector, Princess Maya Shah of Qatar, collected the artist's Arab style heavy colored work "Eight Horses".

2024年，画家重彩《八骏》作品，畅销美国艺术市场。同年，国家博物馆、故宫博物院入藏画家重彩《八骏》。同年，中央美术学院正式聘任八骏画家周意杰为中央美术学院特聘教授。2024年11月《人民日报》和12月《人民日报海外版》发布画家周意杰《八骏》专题报道文章。同年11月人民大会堂入藏画家重彩《八骏》，画家并成为人民大会堂创作画家。

2025年4月2日香港博鰲春季拍卖会画家重彩《八骏》作品以580万成交。2025年4月八骏画家周意杰重彩《八骏》作品赴法国巴黎参加2025年法国卢浮宫国际艺术展，4月22日法国协会联合主席卡洛·德西德里和委员会主席吉尔伯特·范克尔克霍夫共同签发中国八骏画家周意杰重彩《八骏》作品荣获2025年法国卢浮宫国际艺术展金奖证书。5月18日《荣耀百年》八骏画家周意杰《献礼故宫博物院建院100周年纪念作品展览》在京展出。8月10日，画家重彩《八骏》作品赴迪拜参加2025年迪拜国际书画艺术展览。

In April 2025, the painting "Eight Horses" by Chinese artist Zhou Yijie was sent to Paris, France to participate in the 2025 Louvre International Art Exhibition. On April 22, the co chairman of the French Association, Carlo Desideri, and the chairman of the committee, Gilbert Van Kerckhoff, jointly issued the gold medal certificate for the painting "Eight Horses" by Chinese artist Zhou Yijie. On May 18th, Zhou Yijie, a painter of the Eight Horses, presented an exhibition of commemorative works for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Palace Museum in Beijing, titled 'Glory for a Hundred Years'. On August 10th, the painter Zhongcai's work "Eight Horses" went to Dubai to participate in the 2025 Dubai International Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition.
