From June 15th to 20th, 2025, the Chinese opera cultural exchange performances, titled "Resonance of the Silk Road, Echoes of the Timeless Opera," took place successfully in the Novi Sad and Belgrade in Serbia, as well as in Meknes and Rabat in Morocco.
Guided by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and other organizations, and hosted by the China Theatre Association (CTA), with co-organizers including the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theatre, the event coincided with the 70th anniversary of China‑Serbia friendship and the celebration of the inaugural International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, making the performances in Serbia all the more significant.
On June 15th, the first performance was held in Novi Sad Svilara Cultural Station. When it ended, the audience refused to leave, prompting the artists to return for an encore performance of "Ode to Lychee." On June 16th, the second show took place at the China Cultural Centre in Belgrade. It opened with a traditional dance from the Serbian folklore ensemble "KOLO", followed by spectacular programs from the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theatre. Highlights included Cantonese opera martial piece "The Siege of the Valley" demonstrating the vigor of martial arts, famous Guangdong music tunes conveying the charm of Lingnan culture, "Southern‑style Cantonese Opera Martial Arts Showcase" blending opera and martial arts, "The Flower Princess" telling a moving love story, a Serbian singer's soulful guitar performance adding local flavor, long silk dance "Glamour of Cantonese Opera" evoking grace and a climactic scene from "The Story of the Burning Incense" (duet by Li Jiayi and Li Weicong) bringing the event to a thrilling peak.
On June 19th in Morocco, the first show took place at the Muhammad Mounir Cultural Center, where the grace of the Cantonese performances enthralled the audience. At the end, the entire hall rose in applause and joined in singing a traditional Moroccan song in appreciation. The final performance on June 20th was hosted at the small theatre of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art and Cultural Animation (ISADAC) in Rabat, attended by over 200 students and faculty who had interactive exchanges with the performers.
Through these exchange performances, audiences experienced the distinctive charm of Cantonese opera and witnessed cultural integration between China, Serbia, and Morocco. This artistic medium helped foster a friendly atmosphere in bilateral relations and continued to write a new chapter in "Belt and Road" cultural cooperation.
中国戏曲文化塞尔维亚暨摩洛哥交流演出成功举办
2025年6月15日至20日，“丝路华章・戏韵留芳”中国戏曲文化交流演出在塞尔维亚诺维萨德市、贝尔格莱德，摩洛哥梅克内斯、拉巴特成功举办。
此次活动由中国文联等指导，中国戏剧家协会等主办，广州粤剧院等协办。恰逢中塞人民友谊70周年与首个“文明对话国际日”，在塞尔维亚的演出意义非凡。
6月15日，首场演出在诺维萨德的斯维拉拉文化站举行，结束后观众不愿离场，艺术家返场演唱《荔枝颂》。16日，第二场演出在贝尔格莱德中国文化中心举行，塞尔维亚科罗舞团以民族舞蹈开场，随后广州粤剧院带来精彩节目。粤剧《困谷》展示武戏魅力，广东音乐名曲尽显岭南韵味，《粤剧南派武艺展示》融合武术技艺，《帝女花》讲述凄美爱情，塞尔维亚歌手弹唱增添风情，长绸舞《粤韵芳华》婉约雅致，李嘉宜与李伟骢演绎《焚香记》选段将演出推向高潮。
在摩洛哥，6月19日的首场演出在穆罕默德・门努尼文化中心举行，粤韵芳华令观众陶醉，结束后全场观众起立鼓掌并合唱摩洛哥传统歌曲致谢。20日，最后一场演出在摩洛哥戏剧艺术与文化动画高等学院小剧场举办，200余位师生观摩并与演员互动。
此次交流演出，让观众感受粤剧魅力，见证了中国与塞尔维亚、摩洛哥的文化交融。活动以艺术为媒，为双边关系营造了友好氛围，续写了“一带一路”合作新篇章。
