The 2025 China (Foshan) Diejiao Dragon Boat Drift Competition officially opened on May 31st, as 20 elite teams delivered a spectacular display of speed, skill, and teamwork. The first race kicked off in the Dongsheng Division (S-curve) of the Diejiao waterway, regarded as the most technically demanding part of the entire course. Covering a distance of 648 meters, each 25-meter-long dragon boat must navigate six tight turns at high speed.

On site, waves splashed and cheers echoed as teams showcased their drift maneuvers. From rapid acceleration and sharp cornering to emergency braking, evasive maneuvers, and swift U-turns, each move demonstrated the perfect synergy between the drummer, paddlers, and helmsman. Despite the narrowness of the channel, the dragon boats turned with fluid grace, seemingly perilous yet executed with remarkable control. The festive atmosphere of the Diejiao water village was charged with energy, as shouts, drumbeats, and applause filled the air.

This year's competition features an exciting lineup. On the Dragon Boat Festival, 18 teams from Diejiao are joined by enthusiastic corporate teams. Among the standout participants is Michael, a popular German internet personality,who competed as a member of the Chenfeng Dragon Boat Team, drawing considerable attention from spectators and media alike.

The event continues with races in different sections of the Diejiao waterway: the Shengtang Division (L-curve) on June 1st, the Tantou Division (C-curve) on June 2nd, and the Chaji Division (J-curve) on June 14th.

5月31日，2025中国（佛山）叠滘龙船漂移大赛开赛，20支精英龙船队伍上演速度与激情。叠滘水道率先开赛的东胜赛区（S弯），堪称叠滘飙龙船的难度天花板。648米的弯道上，25米长的龙船要在高速前进的过程中拐6个弯。

记者在现场看到，赛道上浪花翻滚，各支龙船队伍纷纷亮出漂移绝技。加速、甩尾、急停、避险、折返……鼓手、扒手、舵手等四五十人配合得默契十足。龙船在狭窄的河涌里流畅转弯，看似惊险，实则“张弛有度”。欢呼声、呐喊声、锣鼓声回荡在叠滘水乡上，不绝于耳。

今年参赛队伍阵容看点十足。5月31日端午节当天，不仅有18支来自叠滘本地的龙船队参赛，还有企业队伍积极参与。来自德国的“网红”迈克（Michael）也颇受关注，此次作为陈丰龙船队的队员参与比赛。

接下来，6月1日的圣堂赛区（L弯）比赛、6月2日的潭头赛区（C弯）比赛，以及6月14日的茶基赛区（J弯）比赛将陆续展开。
