The 2025 Hunan Province Foreign Investment Enterprises Spring Symposium was held in Changsha on the afternoon of January 7. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, gathered with representatives of foreign-invested enterprises and offices of overseas regional governments and business associations in Hunan, to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year and pursue common development. There are now 212 Fortune Global 500 enterprises investing and 3,103 foreign-invested enterprises in Hunan, with sales revenue, R&D investment, and tax contribution amounting to 356.6 billion CNY, 10.7 billion CNY, and 17.5 billion CNY respectively, creating 347,000 jobs. Among them, the number of newly-established foreign-invested enterprises in the province in the past four years totaled 2,005, with foreign investment growing at an average annual rate of 21.5%.
