As the first major economic and diplomatic event since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the expo saw a new record high in intended transactions, highlighting the immense appeal of China's vast market. According to the CIIE Bureau, this year's CIIE recorded 83.49 billion U.S. dollars in one-year intended deals, up 4.4 percent from the previous edition and hitting a new high.
