Dear Mr. Green，

I, Lihua, on behalf of my school Peace Friend School, write you a letter replying to you with our thanks on your letter asking us for information on a column to have of Middle-school student English journal（being short for MSSEJ）you and we will publish.

This proposal has gained popularity among both Chinese and American students, allowing them to exchange cultural ideas with two schools. Their column is expected to write on music shown either in the USA or in China, that could be interesting to two-side students. They make them understood by singing songs in terms of folk, popular and classical music, the traditionally local one, that are considered as belonging to the world.

MSSEJ is regarded as being of the great benefit to Chinese and American students, helping them know more about each other’s lifestyle. On this some stories are based to write well in English. Relying on them, you and/or we will learn strong points from the other party. That means they stand for the usual practice or part of current one at work or in day-to-day life. In its discussion, knowledge about English is to acquire to improve in use, we sincerely hope.

MSSEJ is becoming enormously valuable to teachers and students, for example, you could learn Chinese-language knowledge by following our Chinese teachers who speak and/or write in English. That would find it possible to bring teacher-student relation further to develop friendly by our inviting you to attend a great party, in our school, in celebration of Chinese Mid-Autumn festival next year. As this time sees in the festival, the clear night falls this day in Autumn, when the bright moon rose in sky, shinning its light on our school’s square in which both of us sing songs sweetly in English or in Chinese for each other and dance to music for joy together.

The above MSSEJ gets us ready for developing friendly, together with you, in my view, to have stably close relationship established between Sino-USA students on cultural exchange. And we look forward to receiving your reply to us on our opinion at your earliest convenience.
