The place to learn welding without the hassle.
This time we're discussing the '2F' welding position.
2F'is a horizontal corner weld.
This technique trains control of the melt at the corner of the joint.
Perfect for beginners who want to level up from 1G.
Adjust the amperage according to the material thickness and electrode type.
Here,I set it at around 80 to keep the melting stable.
We start with a root pass in the initial stage.
I use the 'push-pull' technique to ensure even penetration.
This technique allows the molten metal to penetrate the root of the joint.
授粉,you can use a 'stringer bead"for maximum control.
I chose the push-pull method because it closes the gap faster and is stronger in corners.
The root pass is complete, and the weld line has closed the gap well.
The heat is evenly distributed, and penetration is all the way to the root of the joint.
The slag is easy to clean and the weld line is clearly visible.
Enter the fill pass to fill the joint until it's solid.
I use the 'zig-zag'technique,using short strokes to ensure even application.
If you prefer, you can use other techniques like C-shape' or 'small circles'.
"Thin weaving' is also often used to ensure even heating.
Choose a technique that feels comfortable to your hand and allows for control of the melt.
Pay attention to the direction of the strokes, don't let the molten metal run down.
Clean off the slag between each layer for a neat finish.
That was the 2F process from start to finish.
Remember,technique first... results second.
