On October 20th, the real-time monitoring module of the power grid showed that the Yexian County power grid in Pingdingshan, Henan Province, achieved zero consumption of time-based households on that day, with a monthly consumption ratio of 9% for time-based households, which is the optimal value among the 11 units under the jurisdiction of the Pingdingshan power grid. This is a vivid epitome of the in-depth promotion of the construction of distribution automation.

The proportion of single-radiation lines in the distribution network of Yexian County is relatively high, posing practical challenges such as high investment and difficulty in constructing a self-healing system. To overcome these difficulties, the State Grid Yexian Power Supply Company has established a flexible team led by company leaders and composed of business backbones. They have established a closed-loop mechanism of “problem-demand-reserve-construction-application” and formulated and improved 11 supporting management systems and workflows to ensure efficient progress in all aspects.

The Yexian Power Supply Company has taken multiple measures, including solidifying and refining preliminary work, strengthening the quality control of grid access and operation, establishing a linkage between construction and application effectiveness, sharing demand, and focusing on cultivating a team of professional talents.

Since the launch of the key project, the coverage rates of automatic switches, feeder automation, and self-healing lines have increased by 18%, 20%, and 43% respectively. Moving forward, Yexian Power Supply Company will continue to focus on achieving full coverage of self-healing lines, strengthen the construction of a high-quality distribution network talent team, and take other key measures to comprehensively enhance power supply reliability and rapid fault handling capabilities, providing stronger power support for local economic and social development.
