On October 13, Secretary General ZHANG Jun of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) met with Chairman WANG Junfeng of the Belt and Road International Legal Services Association (BRILSA), at the BFA Secretariat. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation and promoting development in the Asia-Pacific region.

WANG Junfeng introduced the establishment of BRILSA, noting that it is currently the world’s only international organization for legal services. He said the Association will adhere to the principles of internationalization and professionalism to enhance its operation and global influence. The Association hopes to strengthen cooperation with BFA to jointly promote international dialogue and cooperation in Asia and beyond, and to advance regional connectivity.

ZHANG Jun congratulated the BRILSA on its establishment and expressed the hope that the Association will play a positive and constructive role in upholding multilateralism and strengthening the rule of law in international affairs. He stated that BFA stands ready to work closely with the Association to promote connectivity and common development in Asia.
