From September 20th to 21st local time, the Guangdong Culture and Tourism Overseas Tour event series were held in Cairo, Egypt, attracting nearly 500 participants, including Chinese and Egyptian cultural and tourism enterprises, industry associations, cultural institutions, artists, and local residents.

Performance of the Yingge-themed dance drama "Face Mask"

The event was organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province under the ministry-province collaboration program, in cooperation with the China Cultural Center in Cairo. It featured intangible cultural heritage(ICH) interactive displays such as Guangdong paper-cutting, Choy Li Fut (Chinese Martial Arts), Foshan color lantern, and the craftsmanship of Dongguan agarwood. The event also included a photo exhibition on Guangdong Mid-Autumn customs, tourism promotion sessions, and two performances showcasing Lingnan cultural traditions. Singers from the Southern Song and Dance Troupe performed the popular Arabic song "Eslamy Ya Misr"(Remain Safe, Egypt), which sparked a chorus from the audience and fostered closer cultural bonds between the peoples of the two countries.

During the ICH demonstrations, Deng Chunhong, an inheritor of Foshan paper-cutting, guided visitors in cutting auspicious patterns such as "Fu" (fortune), the "lion dance," and the "jaderabbit." Huang Hongyu, an inheritor of the Foshan color lantern, taught participants how to make "blessing lanterns," "rabbit lanterns," and "dragon boat lanterns," highlighting the traditional custom of enjoying lanterns during the Mid-Autumn Festival in Guangdong. Li Weifeng, an inheritor of Choy Li Fut, presented the spirit of Guangdong martial arts. Xie Jinglan, curator of the Dongguan Agarwood Culture Museum, performed incense rituals and presented fragrant sachets to guests.

In addition, on the evenings of September 18th and 19th local time, the Southern Song and Dance Troupe was invited to participate in the 9th China-Africa Arts Festival and the Awladna International Art Forum for the Gifted, performing alongside artists from more than ten countries. At both the opening ceremony and a public-interest performance, the troupe staged an excerpt from the Yingge-themed dance drama "Face Mask," showcasing the vibrant spirit of the Guangdong people and the unique charm of Lingnan culture.

广东文旅海外行系列活动在开罗举办

当地时间9月20日至21日，广东文旅海外行系列活动在埃及开罗举办，中埃文旅企业、行业协会、文化机构、文艺界人士及当地民众近500人参与。

活动由广东省文化和旅游厅依托部省对口合作计划，联合开罗中国文化中心筹划。现场设置广东剪纸、蔡李佛拳、佛山彩灯、莞香制作技艺等非遗互动展示，开展广东中秋民俗图文展览与文旅推介，并呈现两场岭南特色文艺演出。南方歌舞团歌唱家演唱埃及民众喜爱的阿拉伯语歌曲《Eslamy Ya Misr》，引发全场观众合唱，拉近两国人民情感距离。

非遗展示环节，佛山剪纸传承人邓春红教观众剪“福”“醒狮”“月兔”等吉祥图案；佛山彩灯传承人黄宏宇指导制作“祈福灯”“兔子灯”“龙舟灯”，展现广府中秋赏灯习俗；蔡李佛拳传承人李伟峰展示广东武学精神；莞香文化博物馆馆长谢静兰表演香道并向嘉宾赠送香囊。

此外，当地时间9月18日、19日晚，南方歌舞团应邀参加第九届中非艺术节暨阿拉德纳国际特殊天赋艺术节，与十多国艺术家同台。在艺术节开幕式及惠民演出中，该团表演英歌主题歌舞剧选段《面谱》，展现广东人民昂扬风貌与岭南文化魅力。
