03|GPT commences $200 million expansion of Rouse Hill Town Centre

The GPT Group has greenlit the $200 million transformation of Rouse Hill Town Centre (RHTC), expanding the fashion, dining and leisure options for the community in Sydney’s rapidly growing north west.

The project will commence in April 2025, adding more than 10,500m2 of retail space to RHTC, and bringing more than 50 new shops to the Hills District hub.

GPT’s CEO Russell Proutt, said: “The Hills District population is growing at five times the Sydney metro areas, and RHTC is the heart of the community. The shopping centre is a standout performer in terms of customer experience and returns, with progressively increasing traffic since it was first developed in 2008. Investing to bring more choice of fashion, dining and leisure to the district was an easy decision.”

04|Mall of the Emirates to be renovated under $1.36 billion

Majid Al Futtaim Group announced that it would invest $1.36 billion to carry out a comprehensive renovation of Mall of the Emirates to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This expansion project will add 100 new stores and introduce pop-up spaces and exclusive interactive experiences to further meet the demands of global high-end brands and the new generation of consumers. 01|受特朗普关税政策影响,法国、意大利下调2025年经济增长预期

在推出对等关税后不久,美国总统特朗普于4月9日突然宣布对不采取报复行动的国家实施90天的关税暂缓。不久后,法国经济部长表示,由于“存在不确定性”,政府已下调了法国2025年的经济增长预期从0.9%下调至0.7%。

01|Influenced by Trump's tariff policy, France and Italy have lowered their economic growth expectations for 2025

Shortly after the introduction of reciprocal tariffs, US President Trump suddenly announced a 90-day tariff moratorium on countries that did not take retaliatory actions on 9 April. Shortly afterwards, the French Minister of Economy Department stated that due to uncertainties, the government has lowered France's economic growth forecast for 2025 from 0.9% to 0.7%.

The Italian government announced earlier that due to the tariff policy of the US, Italy had halved its economic growth forecast for 2025 to 0.6%.

02|Bond Street became the most expensive commercial street in Europe

According to the 2024 Global Reportreleased by the international real estate consultancy Savills, Bond Street in London is currently the street with the highest rent in all of Europe. The rent for core stores has risen by 20% compared to 2023 to €15,333 per square meter, surpassing the top-ranked Monte Napoleonic Street in Milan in 2023.

However, Fifth Avenue in New York still tops the list globally. Last year, the average rent increase reached 24% to €26,000 per square meter, hitting the highest level since the epidemic. The Korea Economic Daily, citing data from data platformKED Aicel, said that South Korean consumers' spending on luxury brands is dropping sharply.
