The earliest batch of lychees from Suixi County in Guangdonghas hit the market. As a major lychee-producing area in western Guangdong, Suixi's lychees typically ripen about 15 days earlier than those in other regions. Located along the Tropic of Cancer, Suixi benefits from a prime geographic latitude, volcanic ash soils, and a unique confluence of saltwater and freshwater, ideal conditions that nurture the selenium-rich "Xianpin Lychee." Currently, there are over 100,000 mu (about 16,470 acres) of lychee orchards in Suixi. By 2025, the county's lychee production is expected to exceed 35,000 tons, with "Xianpin Lychee" accounting for more than 60% of the total.
Prior to the harvest, Hong Wenze, Party Secretary of Wutang Town in Suixi, had already gained popularityon Rednote. On March 26, Hong posted his first promotional content for "Xianpin Lychee" on Rednote, sparking widespread online interest. Under his leadership, the entire town embraced the platform, with over 150 new farmers trained in Rednote content creation, short video production, and live-streaming, helping local growers transition from "lychee farmers" to "lychee sellers."
On April 18, the 9th China International Food and Ingredients Expo and the 3rd China International Pre-made Food Industry Expo kicked off in Dongguan, Guangdong. Concurrently, the 14th Guangdong Modern agriculture Expo was held, showcasing agricultural and food industry achievements in Guangdong.
Covering more than 50,000 square meters, the expos featured signature Guangdong products, including Xuwen pineapples, Xinhui chenpi, Maoming lychees, Zhanjiang Golden Pomfret, etc. The exhibitions leveraged new quality productive forcesin agriculture, from AI-poweredvirtual guides and creative livestreams to robotic chefs and assistants, providing a comprehensive display of cutting-edge technologies and achievements in the agricultural and food industry. A total of 1,336 enterprises from 31 provinces across China and over 20 other countries and regions participated, joined by nearly 5,000 Chinese and international buyers with procurement intentions totaling hundreds of billions of yuan.
On the opening day, the 2025 Marketing and ExportCampaignof Guangdong Lychee in "12221" system was officially launched.
A newly released "2025 Guangdong Lychee ProcurementGuide" indicates a bumper harvest this year, with an estimated production of 990,000 tons in western Guangdong, 990,000 tons in eastern Guangdong, 140,000 tons in the Pearl River Delta, and 110,000 tons in Guangzhou.
Dongguan, the host city, also made a splash. As a core lychee-producing region, Dongguan's lychee cultivation area is projected to reach approximately 159,300 mu (around 26,200 acres), with a total output forecast of 29,500 tons in 2025.

广东最早熟的遂溪荔枝跑出了“第一棒”。作为粤西荔枝主产区代表,遂溪县荔枝每年比其他产区提前15天上市。据介绍,遂溪县地处北回归线黄金纬度,火山灰土壤与咸淡水交汇的独特环境,孕育出富含硒元素的“仙品荔”。目前全县荔枝种植面积达10万亩,预计2025年产量突破3.5万吨,其中“仙品荔”占比超60%。
在此之前,遂溪县乌塘镇党委书记洪文泽已经凭借“小红书书记”火了一波。3月26日,洪文泽首条种草“仙品荔”图文在小红书发布后,吸引了众多网络关注。在洪文泽的带头推动下,全镇学起“小红书”,当地组织超过150名新农人参与小红书笔记创作、短视频制作、直播技能培训,推动果农从“种荔人”向“卖荔人”转变。
4月18日,第九届中国国际食品及配料博览会和第三届中国国际预制菜产业博览会在广东省东莞市开幕。当天,第十四届广东现代农业博览会同步开展,深度展示广东省农食产业发展成果。
本届展会面积超过5万平方米,徐闻菠萝、新会陈皮、茂名荔枝、湛江金鲳鱼等广东优势农产品悉数参展。依托农业新质生产力,多场景引入虚拟讲解、创意直播、机器人厨师、机器人助理等AI元素,全方位展示农食行业最新技术及成果。来自31个省(区、市)和全球20多个国家和地区的1336家企业、近5000名国内外采购商携千亿采购意向参展参会。
展会第一天,2025年广东荔枝“12221”市场营销暨出海活动正式启动。
当天发布的《2025年广东荔枝采购导图》显示,今年广东荔枝迎来大年,粤西片区荔枝预计总产量99万吨、粤东片区荔枝预计总产量99万吨、珠三角片区荔枝预计总产量14万吨、广州片区荔枝预计总产量11万吨。
东道主东莞荔枝同样高调亮相。作为广东荔枝核心产区,2025年东莞荔枝种植面积约15.93万亩,荔枝总产量预计达2.95万吨。
