据“网信中国”微信公众号9月20日消息，近日，针对微博平台未落实信息内容管理主体责任，在热搜榜单主榜高位呈现大量炒作明星个人动态和琐事类词条等不良信息内容，破坏网络生态的问题，国家网信办指导北京市网信办，依据《网络信息内容生态治理规定》等有关规定，对微博平台采取约谈、责令限期改正、警告、从严处理责任人等处置处罚措施。

China's top internet regulator announced on Saturday it has penalized Weibo for failing to fulfill its primary responsibility in managing the information of content posted on its platform.

The platform was found to have displayed a large number of entries related to celebrity gossip and trivial personal matters in top positions on its hot search list, which disrupted the healthy online ecosystem.

Following an investigation, the Beijing Cyberspace Administration, under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China, took action against Weibo in accordance with regulations on online content. The measures included issuing a formal warning, ordering the micro-blogging service to rectify the issues within a specified period, and holding accountable those responsible for the mismanagement.
