Enhancing Service Support and Advancing Technology-Empowered Event Management

It is reported that Shijingshan District, driven by technology and services, is fully coordinating local resources to strengthen support for the CIFTIS across key areas like transportation, accommodation, and catering.

Smart and Efficient Transportation

A holographic intersection system has been deployed on key road sections like Beixin'an Road and Shijingshan Road through city-district coordination, enabling real-time monitoring and intelligent traffic diversion. This has led to optimized traffic signal control, more precise command, and improved road order. Over 1,000 non-motorized parking spaces and two temporary shared bicycle buffer zones have been added, ensuring operation and maintenance staff arrive within 5 minutes and resolve issues within 20 minutes.

Convenient and Comfortable Accommodation

A total of 27 designated hotels offering 4,653 rooms and 6,826 beds have been selected. Special policies have been introduced to encourage these hotels to offer personalized services such as extended breakfast hours and additional shuttle buses, ensuring a comfortable stay and hassle-free travel for guests.

Diverse and Reassuring Catering Services

There are 72 specialty dining outlets within and around the Shougang Park. During the CIFTIS, temporary commercial facilities will be set up in popular areas such as the Shougang High-Line Park and the Big Air Shougang to satisfy diverse culinary preferences. Moreover, food safety inspections and price supervision will be conducted in a well-organized manner to guarantee food safety and fair pricing for consumers.

Technology-Empowered Event Management

Leveraging its strengths in sci-tech innovation, Shijingshan District will showcase nearly 50 intelligent products including KUAVO service robots, autonomous traffic patrol vehicles, driverless shuttles, and manual-brew coffee robots by engaging enterprises settled in the district and industry leaders. These products will be deeply integrated into conference services, security patrols, catering supply, and other scenarios to improve service efficiency and make the fair more intelligent.

Integrating Commerce, Culture, Tourism and Sports to Create Innovative Consumption Scenarios

Shijingshan District is coordinating its commercial, cultural, tourism, and sports resources to plan a series of supporting events. It is also upgrading the program, "Surprises Await You in Western Beijing," to deliver more engaging consumer experiences.

Designing Innovative Signature Programs

The district will launch the "Here I am for CIFTIS" Culture and Tourism Carnival series, present a lantern show titled "A Fantastic Night Tour amid Colorful Lanterns," and hold the AIES Beijing Open to create immersive interactive spaces. These activities are designed to make services trade "visible, palpable, and within reach," enhancing the visitor experience through multi-sensory engagement.

Organizing Distinctive Consumption-Boosting Activities

In partnership with local hotels and catering businesses, Shijingshan District will issue special consumer vouchers. It will also bring together 201 prominent merchants from six major commercial areas, including Xirondo Plaza and Jingxi Joy City, to launch a "Ticket Stub for Discounts" campaign, where stubs from competitions and exhibitions can be exchanged for exclusive consumer packages. These incentive measures are expected to drive new growth in consumption.

Creating Diverse Integrated Consumption Scenarios

Four new departure tax refund stores have been added. For example, Shoucheng Feisi in Chang'an Mills of the Shougang Park offers a refund-upon-purchase service, allowing international visitors to receive an instant refund. Furthermore, a unique tourist route in western Beijing—connecting Big Air Shougang, Ancient Jingxi Path in Moshikou, and Shougang's industrial heritage sites—has been designed to become a new Internet-famous destination combining culture, tourism, and consumer experiences.

Promoting Coordinated Regional Development and Enhancing the Waterfront Experience

To fully implement Beijing's strategy for the coordinated development of the "Two Parks and One River" areas, Shijingshan District plans to initiate a number of signature projects focused on ecological improvement and the integration of culture and tourism. Additionally, the district has stepped up efforts to strengthen the connectivity and interaction between the CIFTIS and its surrounding areas.

Building the Greenway of the Western Hill-Yongding River Cultural Belt

A landscape upgrade has been completed along the 1.3-kilometer section on the left bank of the Yongding River, between Subway Line S1 and the Xinshougang Bridge. The project utilizes greenways and the water system to create a multi-level network of waterfront spaces. This design fosters a seamless and harmonious interaction between the public and the water, allowing residents to intimately experience the scenic beauty of the Yongding River.

Upgrading Facilities in Shijing Mountain

Ecological restoration has been carried out in the entrance area and on both sides of the hiking trail. TheShijingshan Academycomprehensive service area, centered around theNanshan Courtyard, has been established to offer visitors a new public cultural space that remains open all year round.

Introducing Trendy and Enjoyable Waterfront Projects

Capitalizing on the scenic landscape of the Yongding River and its stunning sunsets, Shijingshan District has brought in Internet-famous brands such as SAANCI Coffee, Super Plants, and Bananafish Books to create a well-proportioned commercial block and vibrant public space.

The above projects are set to debut before this year's CIFTIS. To enhance the visitor experience, Shijingshan District will operate driverless shuttle buses between the CIFTIS venue and the Yongding River during the event. In addition to experiencing technology-empowered event services, participants and the public can also enjoy the vibrant waterfront—admiring the Western Hills, wetlands, and sunsets while savoring local delicacies.
