With the implementation of visa-free entry policies for Japan and South Korea, Qingdao Airport has seen a continuous surge in international passenger traffic. So far this year, the number of foreign arrivals has reached 89,300, a year-on-year increase of 45.2%. Among them, South Korean passengers accounted for 66,000, up by 47.7%, while Japanese passengers reached 6,800, an increase of 50.2%.

More Flights, Smoother travel to Japan & South Korea
韩国方向，山东航空将于3月30日加密青岛=首尔航线，山航“首尔快线”由每日往返12班次增至14班次，韩国真航空将于5月30日复航青岛=首尔航线，每日往返2班次，至此，青岛至首尔航线达到每日往返35班次，实现了早7点至晚10点的全天候覆盖，极大地方便了旅客的出行选择。韩国可依航空计划于5月新增青岛=清州每日直飞航班，填补韩国中部地区航线空白。
For South Korea-bound flights, Shandong Airlines will increase its "Seoul Express" service on the Qingdao–Seoul route from 12 to 14 round-trip flights per day starting March 30. Additionally, Jin Air will resume its Qingdao–Seoul service on May 30, operating 2 daily round trips. This brings the total number of Qingdao–Seoul flights to 35 round trips per day, providing full-day coverage from 7 AM to 10 PM, greatly enhancing travel options for passengers. Additionally, Aero K plans to launch a new direct daily flight from Qingdao to Cheongju in May, filling a gap in the air route network to central South Korea.

On the Japan-bound routes, Qingdao Airlines will increase its Qingdao–Osaka route from 6 to 14 flights per week starting March 30. Meanwhile, China Eastern Airlines will launch its first-ever Qingdao–Osaka route on April 12, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
至此，青岛机场日韩航线计划日均运营量将达到53班次，网络覆盖首尔、釜山、济州、东京、大阪等10个日韩核心城市，航班密度再攀新高，居中国北方机场前列。
At this point, Qingdao Airport's Japan and Korea routes are planned to operate 53 daily flights, covering 10 key cities including Seoul, Busan, Jeju, Tokyo, and Osaka. The increasing flight density has reached a new high, ranking among the top airports in northern China.

Alongside the increased flight frequency, Qingdao Airport is actively expanding its international transfer network. Currently, nine domestic cities—including Chongqing, Wuhan, and Xiamen—offer seamless transfer services to Seoul via Qingdao, featuring "single-ticket, baggage-through" convenience to enhance travel efficiency.
