Recently, Shanghai’s two major airports, Pudong and Hongqiao airports, have cancelled baggage and body security checks at the terminal entrances, only retaining explosive detection. This change aims to better ensure both the safety and convenience of passengers.
A passenger said:"This allows for faster entrance to the airport. Furthermore, there are many other international airports globally which don't have such a security check process. On the other hand, I feel very safe in China. So I believe it's a good move. "
However, check-in and security screening before boarding will still proceed as usual. So remember to allow enough time to avoid delays to your journey.
