On August 8th, Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park held the "Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Chimelong Koala Carnival and the 20th anniversary of Introducing Australian koalas.

As China's first institution approved to introduce Australian national treasure, the koala,Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park, since receiving its first batch of six koalas in April 2006,has made remarkable conservation achievements.Just six months after their introduction, the koala "Taotao" gave birth to the world's only koala twins, koala Michelle and Amanda. Today, the koala family has grown to 85 members, forming a stable population spanning eight generations and boasting the largest koala population outside Australia. Among them, "Taotao" has now become a great-great-grandmother within the koala family, a role comparable to that of a centenarian in human terms.

Chimelong Safari Park also launched a series of theme-based experiences, including brand-new koala-themed cable cars that offer elevated viewing perspectives and comprehensively upgraded thematic decorations and interpretive signage that create an immersive Australian-style experience.

从6只到八代同堂！澳大利亚考拉移居广州20年壮大至85只

8月8日，广州长隆野生动物世界举行“考拉嘉年华暨引进澳洲考拉20周年启幕仪式”。

作为国内首个获批引进澳大利亚国宝考拉的机构，广州长隆野生动物世界自2006年4月迎来首批6只考拉以来，创下了令人瞩目的保育成就。引进仅半年后，考拉“淘淘”顺利诞下全球唯一考拉双胞胎“欢欢”“乐乐”，如今考拉家族已壮大至85位成员，形成“八代同堂”的稳定种群，是澳大利亚境外规模最大的考拉种群。其中，“淘淘”已经是考拉园内祖奶奶辈的存在，相当于人类的百岁老人。

长隆野生动物世界还推出了系列主题体验活动：全新考拉主题缆车提供高空观赏视角；主题装饰与导览标识全面升级，营造沉浸式澳洲风情体验。
