第三十七条规定，公民的人身自由不受侵犯；
第三十八条规定，公民的人格尊严不受侵犯；
第三十九条规定，公民的住宅不受侵犯；
第四十条规定，公民的通信自由和通信秘密受法律的保护。

第四十三条规定，劳动者有休息的权利；

第四十五条规定，公民在年老、疾病或者丧失劳动能力的情况下，有从国家和社会获得物质帮助的权利。
第四十六条规定，公民有受教育的权利和义务；
第四十七条规定，公民有进行科学研究、文学艺术创作和其他文化活动的自由。
第四十八条规定，妇女在政治、经济、文化、社会和家庭生活等各方面享有同男子平等的权利；
第四十九条规定，婚姻、家庭、母亲和儿童受国家保护；
第五十条规定，华侨、归侨和侨眷的正当权利和利益受国家保护。
The fundamental rights of citizens enshrined in the Constitution of the People's Republic of China are mainly stipulated in Chapter II "The Fundamental Rights and Duties of Citizens", specifically as follows (Articles 33-50):
Article 33
All citizens of the People's Republic of China are equal before the law. The State respects and safeguards human rights.
Article 34
Citizens have the right to vote and the right to be elected.
Article 35
Citizens have freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration.
Article 36
Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of religious belief.
Article 37
The personal freedom of citizens shall not be violated.
Article 38
The personal dignity of citizens shall not be violated. Insult, libel, false accusation or false incrimination directed against citizens shall be prohibited.
Article 39
The residence of citizens shall not be violated.
Article 40
Citizens' freedom and privacy of correspondence are protected by law. Except in cases where, for the needs of state security or for the investigation of criminal offences, public security or procuratorial organs are permitted to inspect citizens' correspondence in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law, no organization or individual may infringe upon citizens' freedom and privacy of correspondence under any pretext.
Article 41
Citizens have the right to criticize and make suggestions to any state organ or state functionary. Citizens have the right to make to the relevant state organs complaints, charges or exposures against any state organ or state functionary for violation of the law or dereliction of duty.
Article 42
Citizens have the right and duty to work.
Article 43
Working citizens have the right to rest.
Article 44
The state applies the system of retirement for workers and staff. The living conditions of retirees are protected by the state and society.
Article 45
Citizens who are old, ill or disabled have the right to get material assistance from the state and society.
Article 46
Citizens have the right and duty to receive education.
Article 47
Citizens have the freedom to engage in scientific research, literary and artistic creation and other cultural activities.
Article 48
Women in the People's Republic of China enjoy equal rights with men in all spheres of life, including political, economic, cultural, social and family life.
Article 49
Marriage, the family, mothers and children are protected by the state.
Article 50
The legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens who are abroad and of returned overseas Chinese and of the families of overseas Chinese are protected by the state.
