On May 28th, 15 LED-lit dragon boats representing different local neighborhoods and communities in Ronggui Subdistrict, Shunde District, Foshan City paraded through the river in the southern section of Longhua District. The event blended intangible cultural heritage, futuristic technology and electronic music to create an immersive and waterborne nighttime cultural spectacle.

Known as the "Water Town," Shunde has a long-standing tradition of life on the water. For generations, villagers prayed for favorable weather and national peace through traditional activities like dragon boat races and dragon parades. Unlike other regions emphasizing competition, Ronggui features "dragon parades as aesthetic displays." Before setting off, each community will decorate its dragon boat elaborately, with dragon heads and tails, a shrine, and a commander's flag to create a strong sense of ritual and reverence.

The "night dragon"originated from the traditional "Dragon Boat Parade" custom. In the past, villagers would follow dragon boats through the waterways with torches in hand, accompanied by the beat of gongs and the crackle of firecrackers. Since 2015, the various neighborhoods and communities in Ronggui have adorned their boats with LED lights, cleverly blending tradition with modernity and breathing new life into the Night Dragon Boat Parade.

顺德夜龙出没，广式派对开启

5月28日，15艘来自容桂各坊社的龙舟披上炫酷“夜光外衣”，在佛山市顺德区容桂街道龙华大涌南区段进行夜龙巡游。活动融合非遗、未来科技与电子音乐，打造水上不夜城式的沉浸式文化盛宴。

顺德素有“水乡”之称，村民世代以水为生，常通过赛龙、游龙等形式祈求风调雨顺、国泰民安。与其他地区注重竞技不同，容桂以“游龙竞美”为特色，巡游前，各坊社精心装饰龙舟，安上龙头尾、神楼、帅旗等，营造浓厚仪式感。

“夜龙”源于传统“游龙”习俗。过去，人们手持火把，锣鼓喧天、鞭炮齐鸣地跟随龙舟巡游。2015年起，容桂各坊社引入LED灯装饰，将传统与现代巧妙融合，使夜龙巡游焕发新生。

“哇！”“这只龙舟好好看！”现场观众热情高涨，尽管下起暴雨，仍撑伞拍照记录这场光影与水花交织的龙舟秀。孩子们坐在长辈肩上兴奋不已，烟花绽放间，15艘夜龙宛如彩色长龙在水面起伏穿行。
