The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held a Press Conference in Beijing on January 8, where Secretary General Zhang Jun announced that the theme for the BFA Annual Conference 2025 will be “Asia in the changing World: Towards a shared Future”.

Secretary General Zhang Jun emphasized that the theme is intended to reinvigorate multilateralism, promote openness & development, jointly respond to global challenges, carry out commitments of the UN Summit of the Future, while focusing on the development of Asia, and to shape a better & shared future for the mankind.

Secretary General Zhang Jun introduced the four categories of topics for the BFA Annual Conference 2025. First, the bigger picture: building trust and promoting cooperation in a fast-changing world. Second, promoting growth: re-balancing globalization for inclusive development. Third, shaping the future: accelerating the SDGs for more effective responses to global challenges. Fourth, identifying new drivers: strengthening AI application and governance for innovation-driven development. The Annual Conference 2025 will focus on development, foster dialogue, explore innovative formats, and value tangible outcomes, all aimed at promoting international development and cooperation.

The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 is scheduled to take place from March 25 to 28, 2025, in Boao, Hainan.
