Learning at College

As we enter university life, we find that our learning styles have changed greatly compared to high school. We have more free time, no strict rules. It also means we need to do more efficient learning.

The number of classes in college is much less than in high school, and it will be difficult to make up for missed classes. Every minute in class is important and we should pay full attention to what is being said and take notes. Taking notes is not writing down everything the teacher says, but rather recording key words according to your personal needs. If there is a conflict between taking notes and listening to the class, listening should be the main focus.

College courses are not too many but important, so it's rare to have to pre-read and review in class. We must listen carefully to what the teacher says in class, pre-read in advance and review in time after class. Pre-reading should be clear about what will be taught in the next lesson and build a knowledge framework. So that we can quickly find the place in the class and keep up with the teacher's system. Revision should be timely and effective, best to review what you have learnt for the day on the same evening. Revision can improve our memory.

When we go to college, we find that we have a lot of free time, some people use it to study, others use it for entertainment. I think this is based on your individual needs.
