On October 5th, the four-day 2025 Asia Game Festival (AGF) and the China International Comics Festival (CICF) Animation and Game Expo concluded successfully, attracting over 450,000 visitors from across the country. As Guangdong's largest and most influential annual Animation-Comic-Game (ACG) carnival, this year's Expo showcased the latest creative achievements of the gaming industry and provided attendees with a spectacular ACG experience.
To build a "diverse content matrix," the Expo brought together over 1,000 premium IPs and more than 7,000 cultural and creative products, creating zones featuring game experiences, cultural displays, and IP-themed merchandise consumption. Major game companies, including Tencent, NetEase Games, 37Games, Seasun, and 4399, presented numerous game IPs at the Expo.
Guangdong's mini game industry advantages are prominent. In 2024, over 77,000 titles were filed in Guangdong, accounting for 65% nationwide; in 2025, its output value is expected to grow by 40%–50%, with revenue continually rising. Drawing on this industrial edge, Tencent brought several blockbuster WeChat mini games to the Expo, covering popular categories such as casual games and competitive multiplayer games, allowing players to experience "click-and-play" fun on site.
International game companies like Ubisoft and Supercell made their collective debut. The Expo strove to build a bridge for industry communication between China and abroad, hosted in-depth dialogues with representatives from leading international game companies, and featured a special talk with renowned Japanese game creator Kazutaka Kodaka. Through prominently showcasing the operational strategies and achievements of internationally blockbuster games such as "Assassin's Creed: Shadows" and "The Hundred Line-Last Defense Academy," the Expo made itself an important "window" for international game companies to observe China's market and understand Chinese players' needs.
