Many people today rely heavily on social media, openly partisan news outlets, and other dubious sources for much of their news, information, and social commentary. This has led to a dangerous proliferation of ill-informed, extremist views and a growing number of people who dwell in a toxic “echo chamber” of endlessly repeated and reinforced monolithic views.
