汉字作为文明交流互鉴的重要载体，是中华文化之根，是中华民族的文化符号和智慧结晶，对促进民心相通，更好地阐释当下“一带一路”倡议，构建人类命运共同体具有举足轻重的重要意义。从2016年起，中国公共关系协会联合“一带一路”和“汉字文化”研究领域的权威机构、知名专家学者共同发起并举行“一带一路”年度汉字发布活动。

2025“一带一路”年度汉字发布活动由中国公共关系协会和重庆市永川区人民政府共同主办，以“海纳百川 共襄文明”为主题，旨在通过汉字这一文化纽带，让世界感受到中国汉字所蕴含的强大精神力量，推动在文明交流中互学互鉴、互促互进。经过专家推荐和网络投票，“永”字当选2025“一带一路”年度汉字。“永”字形态如水波荡漾，象征着时间的流动与历史的延续，寓意着中华文化的绵延不绝和持久影响力，还承载着对未来持久合作与友谊的美好期望。来自中国、俄罗斯、乌兹别克斯坦、印度尼西亚等国家的青年代表在本次活动中齐聚一堂，以汉字为媒，展开文化交流。

精彩纷呈的文化年、艺术节、博览会、展览会，独具特色的鲁班工坊、“丝路一家亲”“光明行”等人文交流项目，不断深化的民间组织、智库、媒体、青年交流，奏响新时代的丝路乐章。
