On September 9th, reporters entered the paint hangar at Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co.,Ltd. (GAMECO) for a close-up look at the painting process of the"Vibrant Bay Area," an Aircraft themed for the 15th National Games.
As the centerpiece, the wide-body Airbus A350 of China Southern Airlines"Vibrant Bay Area" entered the hangar on August 27th for its themed livery, with a scheduled completion date of September 15th and a formal unveiling set for September 19th. The painted aircraft themed "Vibrant Bay Area, Setting the World in Motion," features prominent visuals: the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the mascots of the 15th National Games ("Xi Yang Yang" and "Le Rong Rong"), soaring seagulls, and blooming cotton tree flowers.
Aircraft painting is a sophisticated systematic process. It was mentioned thatto give an aircraft a fresh "outfit," it must undergo a rigorous series of steps, including a comprehensive airframe inspection, removalof old paint, surface cleaning, masking and protective covering, primer spraying, multi-color paint spraying, and varnish spraying.
The aircraft livery posed significant challenges, with its intricate design details and over 50 distinct colors on the fuselage. The technical teamfrom China Southern Airlines employed the 2D-to-3D projection, then used "flattening" techniques to create templates for the liveryof "Vibrant Bay Area". This approach significantly reduced pattern-positioning and painting duration, enabling the 2D design to be accurately reproduced on the aircraft's three-dimensional surface.
The paint hangar at GAMECO, where the "Vibrant Bay Area" aircraft is housed, boasts industry-leading technological capabilities in Asia. The fully enclosed facility features advanced ventilation and temperature and humidity control systems, and is large enough to accommodate up to three narrow-body aircraft for simultaneous painting operations.

9月9日，记者走进广州飞机维修工程有限公司（GAMECO）的喷漆机库，近距离探秘十五运主题彩绘飞机“活力湾区”号的喷绘过程。
本次活动的主角——南航“活力湾区”号，选用空客A350宽体客机进行喷绘，于8月27日进场，计划于9月15日完工，9月19日正式亮相。机身彩绘以“活力湾区 跃动世界”为主题，画面主体由港珠澳大桥、十五运吉祥物“喜洋洋”和“乐融融”、翱翔的海鸥和昂首怒放的木棉花共同构成。
飞机喷漆是一项精细复杂的系统工程。据介绍，一架飞机的“新衣”诞生，需经历全面的机体检查、去除旧漆、清洗表面、遮蔽保护、底漆喷涂、多道色漆喷涂和清漆保护等一系列严谨工序。
这架“活力湾区”号机身图案复杂、细节繁多，机身颜色有50多种，在喷绘上有不少难度。南航技术团队使用了2D投影至3D立体进行制图，通过运用展平技术制作“活力湾区”模板。这个技术有效缩短了图案定位时间和喷漆周期，实现平面设计图案在三维飞机上最大程度的还原。
“活力湾区”号所在的GAMECO喷漆机库，拥有领先亚洲的技术实力，全封闭式设计配备先进的通风及温湿度控制系统，最大可容纳三架窄体机同时作业。
