金秀贤含泪表示，“《眼泪女王》播出时，我作为主演需要守护很多东西。如果播出那时，我承认了，会发生什么事呢？和我一起演戏的演员们、工作人员们，他们会怎么样呢？人类金秀贤和明星金秀贤，我总是选择明星金秀贤。”他坦言，“如果可以回到去年《眼泪女王》播出时，我依然会选择否认恋情。”

随后，他否认与金赛纶未成年时交往，谈及金赛纶酒驾后，之所以没有与她联系，是因为据他所知，当时女方已有男友，“分手的人要小心翼翼”。

而陪同他出席此次发布会的律师表示，将对金赛纶遗属和YouTube自媒体“横竖研究所”（Garosero Research Institute，简称GaSeYeon）进行起诉，索赔120亿韩元。

Lawyers representing Kim Soo-hyun and his agency said on Monday they had sued people involved in the YouTube expose for a total of 12 billion won ($8.15 million) in damages, and reported them to the authorities for defamation and violation of the information protection act.

根据韩国法律，若两人在2016年（金赛纶15-16岁）发生性关系，金秀贤可能触犯《青少年性保护法》。
